  1. get it right, hill's homer hit the roof of the building. sammy broke a window or 2 in his day, though. Hill's homer went into orbit, as I recall.
  2. cept like, actually good at baseball. And not playing woefully out of position.
  3. How about love for Carlos Marmol instead? It'd be a fun break from the usual.
  4. Michael Barrett should always play against the Cardinals.
  5. Thank you. And it's understandable. We're all Cubs fans here. :D
  6. You see the 14 inning extravaganza? Lee had one that would have made it to the third row of the bleachers if it weren't for the fact that the wind was blowing in quite strongly. He'll be fine.
  7. Dave Otto: "That landed like a butterfly with soft feet." :-k
  8. yep, but oit's long gone now, instead he throws a great "nothing ball". Long story short, his shoulder went kaboom.
  9. Ahhhhhhhhhh...the sounds of baseball. I'm so happy I can listen to the game. :D
  10. We're getting a new DSL modem sent on Tuesday. Hopefully by then I'll be back to take my rightful place...
  11. Slacker. It doesn't help that we have wireless hooked up to a DSL modem which is under my downstairs neighbor's name. She has all the passwords and account information and is being incredibly lazy about it.
  12. My internet's down at home and I have no idea when it will be back up. Sorry about the delays and whatnot folks!

  14. Apparently, the Cubs had an agreement with Cincy prior to the Rule 5 Draft that they would select Hamilton and trade him to the Reds in exchange for cash considerations.
  15. Ehhhhhhhh...tough call on that one. His pre-2005 numbers do not do his control problems much justice. He was basically Rick Vaughn in terms of his spike curveball, which would end up anywhere from the catcher's mitt to the fifth row behind the backstop. Prior to 2005, I don't think very many people saw him becoming anywhere near this successful because of his severe control problems.

  17. Looks like he's making it easy. Trade Jones for a sandwich and make it Pie in Center, Soriano in right, and (hopefully) Murton in left. Sandwich for lunch and Pie for dessert... What's for breakfast and dinner?
  18. Your avatar is hypnotizing. And hilarious, imo.
