  1. I counted two bad plays on the ball and two bad throws on that play.
  2. Huh, Floyd's heels are almost on the back edge of the box.
  3. April 2006 Rammy would have done that. April 2007 Rammy? Pft!
  4. Hung it low and Soriano made him pay. Verah nahs! :D
  5. When they hit a home run, that mascot slides down it. Same for when they get a win, I think. He used to slide into a beer mug. They got rid of that. :(
  6. BA's #3 in the Brewers' organization.
  7. It's a freaking miracle I was able to fly out last night. The weather there has been terrible the past few days.
  8. Liar! There are no Devil Rays fans!

  10. I think the bottom line is, despite the amount of turnover and acquisitions that occurred in the offseason, this team still has a ways to go before being a legitimate contender. While the NL this season is pretty bad overall, the Cubs were absolutely terrible and still had to catch up. Don't get me wrong, I have high hopes for this team. However, there are still enough flaws and places this team could upgrade that make me temper those hopes quite a bit.
  11. How about cheating? This book has been getting rave reviews. It's a fascinating way of seeing the utility of and attitudes toward various forms of cheating.
  12. Much like those of you arguing that PRing with Theriot or PHing with Cedeno was the right move, bringing in Ohman to face Conine and Dunn was the right move. He's a specialist against lefties and, by and large, has had good success against them. Unfortuantely, things did not turn out the way they were planned.
  13. *Breathes out* Little bit too close for comfort there. :?
  14. Apparently Marquis hung a pitch on the Hatteberg flyout to the warning track.
  15. Butter http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/8853/800pxncibuttervh2.jpg Butter is made by churning fresh or fermented cream or milk. Butter is used as a spread and a condiment, as well as in cooking applications such as baking, sauce making, and frying. As a result, butter is consumed daily in many parts of the world. Butter consists of butterfat surrounding minuscule droplets consisting mostly of water and milk proteins. The most common form of butter is made from cows' milk, but it can also be made from the milk of other mammals, including sheep, goats, buffalo, and yaks. Salt, flavorings, or preservatives are sometimes added to butter. Rendering butter produces clarified butter or ghee, which is almost entirely butterfat. When refrigerated, butter remains a solid, but softens to a spreadable consistency at room temperature, and melts to a thin liquid consistency at 32–35 °C (90–95 °F). Butter generally has a pale yellow color, but varies from deep yellow to nearly white. The color of the butter depends on the animal's feed and is commonly manipulated with food colorings in the commercial manufacturing process, most commonly annatto or carotene. The term "butter" is used in the names of products made from puréed nuts or peanuts, such as peanut butter. It is also used in the names of fruit products, such as apple butter. Other fats solid at room temperature are also known as "butters"; examples include cocoa butter and shea butter. In general use, the term "butter," when unqualified by other descriptors, almost always refers to the dairy product. The word butter, in the English language, derives (via Germanic languages) from the Latin butyrum, borrowed from the Greek boutyron. This may have been a construction meaning "cow-cheese" (bous "ox, cow" + tyros "cheese"), or the word may have been borrowed from another language, possibly Scythian. The root word persists in the name butyric acid, a compound found in rancid butter and dairy products.
  16. Lucky. I want snow. It's 55°F here and partly cloudy. Boring! I nearly broke my hip out there today. Cleveland's covered in a layer of ice.
  17. Greetings Derek! Hope your stay here is enjoyable. :D
  18. Most of my screaming was over Dusty calling for that in the first 2 innings at home. Yes, this ^. I wasn't a huge fan of Lou calling the sacrifice, but in that kind of the situation (late, on the road, etc) it can work. However, the hit & run with Cedeno and Soriano was absolutely stupid.
  19. what did he say. Get some BEEP strikes or something like that? Haha. If so. That's why you gotta love lou. He came in, had a few curt words for Dempster, then walked away. Theriot wasn't quite as bad as Walker out there, but still, yeesh.
  20. Also, you'll all be happy to know that Jeff Brantly advocated walking Jock to get to Lee.
  21. I just got back from playing softball in the driving snow (it got PPD), how we looking?
