  1. It also depends on which side of things you're looking at. In terms of pitchers, the Cubs have done an outstanding job of spotting and developing pitching prospects. When it comes to hitting prospects, the Cubs have done pretty poorly.
  2. Not too shabby. I like the first two rounds. The third round I'm okay with.
  3. Well, in their defense, he did multiply loaves and fishes. One doesn't drink red with seafood. Unless you're Russian.
  4. OHHHHHHHHHHHHH TIMEOUTIMEOUTIMEOUTIMEOUT!!!!!!!
  5. Isn't that fat bastard retired though? He can always be lured out with a case of Natty Light, a carton of smokes, and 32 hot wings from Buffalo Wild Wings.
  6. And yet, we're still trying to trade for another one. When you see him in the field for an extended period of time at 2B, you'll understand.
  7. He fell off the face of the planet with the Redskins and hasn't scored a TD since his days with the 49ers. I think, at best, he'll turn out to be a passable #2 WR. I don't think it's likely, but there's a possibility.
  8. My buddy argued with me about this big time...and lost. You only use select if you were playing 2 player. Then it's up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, select, start. The select was just to move the cursor from 1 to 2 players. Correct. I use it to determine how social of a childhood people have. If you omit the select, then you were a sad, lonely child.
  9. In vaguely related news, Troy Patton just opted to undergo shoulder surgery and is expected to be out of action for all of 2008.
  10. WOW. Felix Pie is doomed. At best, he'll be traded for another Derrek Lee. That's not too shabby.
  11. Dorsey's injuries reportedly have concerned plenty of teams. I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop out of the Top 10, especially if Ellis continues climbing. Also, my impression of Dorsey is that he could make a very good 4-3 NT in the pros. That certainly wouldn't hurt the Bears.
  12. I'm fine with all of the above, but I was basically pointing out the fact that DT could be a major weakness for the Bears next season. If the Bears take a DT in the draft, I won't complain. There might be greater needs elsewhere, but the Bears could definitely benefit from shoring up the position.
  13. Frankly, I think DT is the sleeper position for a surprise pick in the 1st or 2nd. You're basically relying on a group of guys with documented health issues and inexperience. Even if everyone's healthy, I'm skeptical about the amount of talent among that group. Harris is terrific, but what about everyone else? If one of the top two DTs (Dorsey or Ellis) falls to 14, I'd be doing cartwheels if the Bears took him. Ditto Kentwan Balmer in the 2nd.
  14. http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/03/05/spring-dugz-chicago-cubs/ Holy crap yes. I win at the internet!
  15. Nothing. That pretty much sums up the whole thread right there.
  16. I don't why he moaned about the horses and then he goes and gets the same ones 2 years later. God, it's so much better being on this side of the fence regarding Dusty. I can not wait to see how he handles Dunn when he watches the 3 strike go by time and time again. Or ball 4, for that matter. Cause it's called hitting, not walking. Plus Dunn's a slow dude. He's the typical base clogger.
  17. Remind me again of the Packers' superiority, given how well they did against the Bears last season. :D With that said, if Adrian Peterson is healthy all season, I'll go with the Vikings to take the North. He's one of the most eye-popping RBs I've ever seen. The guy runs like the opposing team owes him money.
  18. Oh come on, no one's made a Jose Macias joke yet? For shame!
