  1. He's over 100 pitches and it's only April. Don't wear him down, imo.
  2. It's a purely subjective call that varies wildly from umpire to umpire. It needs a bright line revision, imo.
  3. I'm surprised they haven't shown the Victor Diaz game yet. How much blame did Dusty get? I'm guessing none.
  4. Fukudome likes it when opposing pitchers need Tommy John Surgery.
  5. I'd like to thank Carlos Beltran for his timely slumping.
  6. I like walks and chasing the pitcher early. Keep up the fun, Derrek!

  8. Von Joshua? No. Dave Keller. Von Joshua is the hitting coach at Iowa. Thanks!

  10. While I would agree it would be nice to see him miss more bats, Chien MIng Wang for the Yankees has done alright without really striking a lot of guys out. He also gets groundballs at an insane rate. I like seeing Samardzija get a bunch of infield popups, but he's nowhere near Wang's level in that respect.
  11. lol What else would you tell him to do? Have Joe Buck, Tim McCarver, John Kruk, Steve Phillips, and Joe Morgan secretly kidnapped and stranded on a remote desert island to live out their lives.
  12. So you're saying he plays baseball in a wheelchair? :P
  13. Ceda with a really impressive outing. 5 scoreless, 3 H, 7/0 K/BB
  14. Just wait until we replace his name with "Ryan Theriot."
  15. ...I seriously hope this is sarcasm.
  16. Daytona's facing off against Jeffrey Allison. I've always felt bad about the guy and hoped he could get his life in shape.
  17. Yeah, he really botched the shaving cream pie to the face didn't he? Given the way he's been pitching recently, someone might need to check that guy's eyes.
  18. I don't think the Pirates pitching is "that bad", if that tells you anything. When you can beat, Snell, Gorzalanny (sp?), and Duke, that's a damn fine good weekend of work. The fact that the Cubs are on the verge of sweeping the Pirates without Zambrano seeing the hill in this series is quite the accomplishment. The offense has been really good so far. The pitching has been so-so. I'm hoping the pitching starts to turn it around (particularly Lilly, Hill, Howry, and Wuertz in that order), especially considering we're going to need it going into September.
  19. I like these blowout games. It means more ABs for the young guys on the bench.
  20. So, much for that Jeff gave up a double, single and walk to start the 7th to leave the bases loaded. Juan Mateo could get nobody out and Tenn is down 4-1. Demoted to AA already? Ouch.
