  1. You can make an argument with the bat though In a vaccuum, yes. However, moving DeRosa to 2B would make some amount of sense and still provide an upgrade over Theriot or Cedeno.
  2. I mean, you can't even really make a defensive argument of DeRosa over Murton in LF. Seriously, FTH Lou?
  3. It wouldn't have been too much to ask to have Murton in LF, DeRosa at 2B, and Cedeno at SS, would it?
  4. You sure you want to see it? The lineup's not pretty.
  5. The Rockies have three lefties in their rotation with Francis, Redman, and Morales. As far as I can tell, no other potential contender in the NL has more than two LHPs in their rotation.
  6. This. This x 2 - except that he lost me during the whole Merker vs. Broadcasters thing. He lost me when he decided to throw a live grenade at Chad Fox's arm.

  8. What would happen to the other two games? Canceled due to earthquake.
  9. Considering Adam LaRoche is getting at least one more AB in this game, I'm guessing this one will be tied by the end of the 9th.
  10. Ryne Sandberg gave him the "hit the ball hard into the gap" sign.

  12. I liked the time he kicked a metal fan.
  13. http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/detail/36/42/22184236.jpg :clapping: Awesome. Simply awesome. You need to post more.
  14. I can understand the other things (agreeing with them to varying degrees), but why Henry Blanco? Lou has only started him 3 times out of 15 games. That's normal for a backup catcher, and if you take Blanco away from Lou that only means that Lou will have Koyie Hill for those 3 games. I think keeping Blanco was a mistake. He's not a very good backup catcher in terms of what he provides from an offensive and defensive standpoint. Soto needs his rest, but, at the same time, I'd like to see a guy back him up who can either get on base or who is a plus defender behind the dish. I don't think Blanco is either.
  15. Daytona broke up the no-no. The game is still scoreless going into the bottom of the 8th. Maestri with a really solid outing: 6 scoreless, 2 H, 4/1 K/BB.
  16. The following things need to be taken away from Lou: Ryan Theriot Mike Fontenot The Hit & Run Sign Henry Blanco Mark DeRosa in the OF It's not to say that DeRo is bad in the OF, but any time he plays there, that ups the probability that Fontenot and Theriot will both be in the game.
