He's encroaching on Tony LaRussa territory. At some point in the 80s, TLR got a bug up his rear about something and turned into this micromanaging freak of nature. It'd get to the point where he'd use four relievers to get three outs in an inning despite only needing one.

Did they eliminate the rule completely in the NFL? I can't remember if they just tweaked it or what. I know for sure they got rid of the 5 yard face mask, though. That irks me a tad bit.

The dropped third strike is the dumbest rule in sports. No, in all of sports, that would be the inability to review force-out plays in football.

The health problems have been insane in the early going this season.

They've been scary good, but their division is really weak. I'm curious to see how well they do between May 2nd and May 11th, when they face the Mets, Phillies, and Cubs over 10 games. If they come out of that smelling like a rose, then I'll begin to worry about them.
