The line. Average safety play is much more easy to come by and live with if you are getting the proper pressure and run support in your front 4/front 7. I feel like we've had nothing but a dumpster fire at both safety positions since Mike Brown left. Either this team sucks at finding decent safeties, or it's harder than you might think.
It's also worth pointing out that Major Wright basically body-slammed Jordy Nelson on the 4th and 8. Kind of surprised there was no flag for it. Ugh, between the safeties and the line, I don't know what position needs more help on this team.
Kind of surprising we haven't had any posts since the 24th, especially since there have been a handful of games since then. Then again, it's not like any of them were particularly memorable.
Nope. St John the revelator - the only one of Jesus' disciples not to be martyred - gave me this one. He was good at predicting the future. St. John helps with predicting sporting event outcomes? Huh, good to know next time I feel like betting the o/u.
Why wouldn't Rendon be on the table? I mean, don't get me wrong, it would be awesome if all of the Cubs' top IF prospects panned out, but Rendon would be an immediate upgrade over Barney at 2B and could easily move back to 3B if needed.
The defense needs to find a better solution at DT than dressing up two coatracks in Bears uniforms and pads. The Giants OL was holding all day, but still, ugh. Still, good game.
I honestly can't choose between the Dodgers and Red Sox. I'll pull for the A's or Tigers in the ALCS and despise the Cardinals, but fair weather LA band wagoneers versus Boston fans...guh. Tough call.
That's my biggest criticism of the Bears from this game. The Bengals and Vikings both have good OLs, but the front four has just looked bad the first two weeks. The DL has combined for 1 sack and 0 TFL so far. That's not good. Actually they have 2 sacks - McClellin last week and Wootton got one today. You're right; I was looking at the wrong column on the box scores. My point still stands. ETA: Also, McClellin and Paea had .5 sacks apiece last week.

Was just about to say this. Field looked horrible last night and can't imagine how bad it is now with all the raining overnight and this morning. Here's hoping we see something like
again.
