    After the draft, the controversy involving Baez may be whether he's in our top 5. Hot streak here we come!

    I'm still skeptical about this team's potential as-is. I think this is a good enough pitching staff to make a run, but I just don't think the offense is good enough. Even if Barney climbs out of his black hole and certain guys go on hot streaks, players like Castillo and Schierholtz aren't going to keep hitting like this. Don't get me wrong, the Cubs can build around this offense. They're just not there yet.

    Oddly enough, the only pitchers on this team with negative WAR per Fangraphs are Rondon and Marmol. There's room to improve, but the pen actually isn't too bad so far this season. What this team needs more than anything is offense, particularly in the OF.

    I find it to be a good sign that it was reportedly Baez who broke up the first run-in between Baez and the Clearwater player.

    Not with his contract. I doubt Baez will be better than Castro defensively when he arrives at the big leagues, because of how much bigger he'll be. Baez will look great at 3B. Castro's listed at 6'0 190 lbs and Baez is listed at 6'1 205 lbs. Are you expecting Baez to grow or add weight? Otherwise, I don't think an inch and 15 pounds is that much of a difference.

    Or he's gay and made it up because he doesn't want to deal with the Homophobia Trifecta of the Mormon Church, the Catholic Church and the NFL? Which, honestly, makes me feel worse for him than if he was suckered into believing some Canadian girlfriend scam. What if it turns out that Te'o was actually pulling off an epic troll that spiraled out of control? The NFL Draft analysis of that alone would be incredible.
