  1. Don't forget this gem: http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17iperla2x9k4jpg/ku-xlarge.jpg
  2. The announcers made it so easy to root against Auburn. Musberger was really something else. His call of the game winning TD might as well have been for a 1st quarter score in a pre-season game I'll always remember how Kentucky went 2-10. They may have lost every single conference game, but damnit, they did it with SEC pride!

  4. Tom House has been branching out, it seems. I hope to see a fluff piece about Bortles's motivation muscle. I'm hoping we get a feature titled "Bortles Kombat" or something equally delightful. Also, for those of you who missed it: Link

  6. This just about sums up the game:
  7. So, at what point does Marvin Lewis end up on the chopping block? He's had some really talented teams, but he's 0-5 in the playoffs in his career. There has to come a point where the Bengals decide to move on from him, but I'm not quite sure where that point is.
  8. Hundley staying at UCLA for his senior season This year's draft is becoming less interesting at QB seemingly with every passing week. If Manziel and Bortles both go back to school...bleh.
  9. they have sold out. huzzah! http://cdn1.sbnation.com/assets/3754455/monkeydogWAITRAMS_medium.gif Well, why not?
  10. [expletive] that [expletive] piece of [expletive] [expletive] Nissan ad.
  11. I understand the focus on Super Bowl winning QBs, but I don't think it's an appropriate metric as far as measuring how good a QB is. Having a good QB is important for a team to win the Super Bowl, but winning it requires so much more than a good QB that I just don't think it's fair to judge how good a QB is based on Super Bowl wins, especially considering only two of the players on your list are out of football. Moreover, I'll acknowledge that there's a difference between a team taking a QB in the first five picks because the team thinks he's the best player as opposed to a team taking a QB in the first five picks because he's the best available QB, despite ranking a handful of guys ahead of him. If the Texans don't think Bridgewater is worth the 1.1 pick, then they'd be fools to draft him. However, if the Texans' intent is to acquire a franchise QB in the draft, their odds are significantly better at 1.1 than at 4.1, especially if they think Bridgewater (or whomever) is worth the pick.
  12. The problem is, the later the draft goes, the less likely a team is to find a quality starting QB. This is actually a pretty good overview of the last 13 years of QB draft picks. Granted, it's a bit subjective in terms of evaluations and cutoffs, but the underlying data has a list of QBs that drives the point home. Your odds of finding someone who might even be passable declines dramatically with every round. Now, granted, the Texans might be of the opinion that Matt Schaub could be salvaged or they could make a run at a free agent QB. There is also something to be said for trusting your scouts and talent evaluators to make the right decision. But, if they need a franchise QB, the odds favor taking Bridgewater 1.1 over, say, taking Aaron Murray at 4.1.
  13. Not much of a surprise, but Clowney and Bridgewater declared today.
  14. I'm looking forward to him overtaking Cutler as the most hated QB in the league. It's going to be awesome.
  15. Cutler will be franchised. Not entirely sure if there will be a long term deal.
  16. The line. Average safety play is much more easy to come by and live with if you are getting the proper pressure and run support in your front 4/front 7. I feel like we've had nothing but a dumpster fire at both safety positions since Mike Brown left. Either this team sucks at finding decent safeties, or it's harder than you might think.
  17. It's also worth pointing out that Major Wright basically body-slammed Jordy Nelson on the 4th and 8. Kind of surprised there was no flag for it. Ugh, between the safeties and the line, I don't know what position needs more help on this team.
  18. Can we crap on Podlesh while we're at it? He deserves at least some of the blame for this fiasco.
  19. Kind of surprising we haven't had any posts since the 24th, especially since there have been a handful of games since then. Then again, it's not like any of them were particularly memorable.
  20. Nope. St John the revelator - the only one of Jesus' disciples not to be martyred - gave me this one. He was good at predicting the future. St. John helps with predicting sporting event outcomes? Huh, good to know next time I feel like betting the o/u.

  22. Anyone else catch Cutler and Dilfer going at it?
  23. Frankly, I can't wait for MSU and Mizzou to win, only for Alabama to make the title game.
  24. lol broncos
