  1. Wisconsin will probably end up at 4-4 in the conference and 7-5 overall, yet has already won its division thanks to Penn State and Ohio State being ineligible. I know the feeling.
  2. I know absolutely nothing about him. Would be nice to hear what smart Astros fans think of him. FanGraphs I like.
  3. +1 The odds of Javier Baez matching that production at that age are miniscule at best.
  4. Considering some of the past successes of the Cubs in acquiring pitchers recovering from TJS, I like this move. However, I'm curious if the Cubs intend to use him as a starter out of the gate, especially considering he only pitched a third of an inning at High A last season.
  5. All things considered, I wouldn't be surprised if Loria ends up owning the A's next offseason. He got the Expos moved to DC and got the Marlins a new stadium, why not send him to another franchise that's trying to squeeze taxpayers for all their worth for a shiny new stadium?
  6. Do the Orioles even have worthwhile prospects aside from Machado and Bundy?
  7. If Rex flipping Grossman can lead the Bears to a Super Bowl that they kept close for most of the game, Jay Cutler can sure as hell win one for the Bears.
  8. Is it wrong that I'm hoping Louisville and Alabama end up as the only two undefeated teams at the end of the season?
  9. I'm happy to see the Cubs attempting to deal Marmol. That's what I will take away from this.
  10. Which homer was that? Just curious. I'm pretty sure the second one. I believe that was the oppo homer, given that Verlander was looking out to left.

  12. Refusing to get my hopes up.
  13. LOL. Please tell me this isn't going to be the story now for an entire week. If the Bears had lost and Cutler pulled that, it would have led off Sportscenter. Instead, it'll be forgotten, save for an outraged footnote around word 3,271 of Greggggggggg Easterbrook's next 12,537 word column.
  14. How to hit a grand slam while swinging an invisible bat.
  15. Russell Wilson spoiled Badger fans. It's back to the bad old days of horrific QBing.
  16. I feel like we're about 2-3 weeks away from some drunk lunatic running out onto the field and pulling a William Ligue on the replacement refs.
  17. The tweets coming from the Packers are phenomenal. (NSFW language)
  18. People haven't changed the channel yet, so stop caring about quality. I know you're being sarcastic but that's clearly the NFL's stance in negotiations here. The league is still making their money so they seem to think they can take a hardline with the refs. At this point is gonna take a clearly botched call that directly costs a team a victory for the outcry to be loud enough to get back to the negotiating table. I think the more likely scenario is a massive all-out brawl or a paralyzed player, either resulting from the replacement refs losing control of a game. Columnists and players can write off bad calls as being part of the game, plus the penalty stats coming into this week apparently were on par with last year. However, these refs have been atrocious at keeping the game under control. Players are head-hunting and instigating because they know these refs won't eject them and the NFL won't do anything about it, save for handing out random fines and suspensions. I thought we'd see that happen to Matt Schaub today, but thankfully he seemed to be okay after Joe Mays nearly decapitated him.
  19. Walk rate up to 16.5%, which if qualified would be tops in the majors. He also somehow has a .364 BABIP. I'm so very confused.
  20. I'm convinced we'll see our first ever triple header at some point involving Daytona.

  22. Am I alone in thinking Villanueva would slot in at #4 in our system? Still a bit leery about pitchers coming back from TJS, so I'm thinking Villanueva ahead of Vizcaino makes sense.
  23. My Top 10 looks a lot like this one, although I'd swap out Pierce Johnson for Alcantara. Might tinker around a bit with the order of 5-9, too.
  24. About what? That he's clinically insane is already a given. That he's not in a clinic, for starters. i hurt someone's feelings on a message board LOCK ME UP Will do.
