1. Outside of Quintana, I don't think anyone on that team would even be reasonable to try to obtain. Sale is going to cost the moon, and I would rather not see Baez, Schwarber, Almora, and others traded in the same deal for a single player. Is there a reason to believe Quintana would be cheaper to trade for than Sale? Maybe it is just me, but I thought name recognition would be part of it. I am well aware that Quintana performed just as well as Sale did this year. He is proving to be a fantastic pitcher who is woefully underpaid at this point in his career. Maybe it is just wishful thinking :)

3. My money is on Zobrist winning the Myrrh Glove.
4. He was just finishing up his audit of Joe Maddon for deciding to pull him that early. Joe's gonna be getting a call from the IRS very soon. :D
5. I will be watching at Old Chicago in Bozeman. We are 6-0 in the postseason when I've watched there, ordered a Blue Moon and Guinness, and had artichoke dip. I am getting so sick of artichoke dip, but once tonight is over, I won't have to eat it again for a year.
6. I would say that they might have been wrong about that.
7. 1736 minutes until gametime.
8. I also did the 4 to 1 for the Cubs, but I was $200 on that and $100 at 7 to 1 for the World Series. I'm hoping for both of us, haha.
9. He probably meant we haven't had a pitcher walk off a win yet this year :)
10. What the what. I think he meant to say kitten mittons :D
11. I played baseball with a couple of Mormons and even dated one for a while. The term for a Mormon who doesn't follow all tenets (i.e. drinking and pre-marital sex) is a Jack-Mormon. I have known the strict followers and the less than strict. Very interesting to see the disparity. One girl I took out absolutely refused to drink alcohol, but was perfectly fine with the pre-marital sex. Doesn't make sense to me, but that's ok. \:D/
12. Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Yes, Kris is Mormon. I know a guy who was on his traveling teams in high school and he told me that last year. Said he is incredibly nice as well.
13. Just forwarded the tickets. If I have any in the future to give away, I will post them on here.
14. The 3 comments at the bottom of the story are the best part. They feel like they can get someone better than Schwarber for Miller.
15. The right field end of the center field bleachers on the side facing Murphy's bar. (Hope that wasn't too confusing)
16. Well, in a stretch of 7 games, I think I had about 8 Dick Tidrow's. Brat with shredded gouda, plantaine chips, and an awesome dijonnaise sauce. Definitely head and shoulders about any other dog or polish I have consumed at a game.
17. http://lovelace-media.imgix.net/uploads/134/02c40c40-aa60-0131-7219-1a6e19b414f6.gif? "Ron Howard"
18. Randall Simon. Not kidding. Haha, I agree. I recall seeing Simon having some of the best contact skills I have ever seen. There was one pitch which seemed to me at the time to be above his head off the outside corner that he almost hit out in Arizona one game.
19. in the last 3 years, there have been 4 total seasons of guys doing that. two from bautista, one from harper and one from goldschmidt. i don't think this is gonna happen. We know he has the power and he has a fantastic eye at the plate. If he can learn to lay off some sliders low and away, he could be the best hitter on this team.
20. Fernandez or Syndergaard are about the only two (non-Kershaw) pitchers for whom I would be ok seeing Soler be traded. I think Soler will be a 30+ homer, 100 walk guy in two years.
21. Are we sure that Twitter didn't autocorrect the word "dong" to be "dog"? If he meant dong, then it could have been named "Major Cardinal Heartbreak". Strangely, this idea was also posted in the game thread. Really? I just read this and the thought came to my mind brain. Everyone in here clearly has dongs on the brain.

23. Personally, I would rather the Cubs play the Mets. I realize they have a more potent lineup, but I feel they have a better chance against righty pitching than lefties.
