  1. I will give them credit, they sure are creative in ways to lose games. Plenty of games this year where I said to myself, "I haven't seen that in a while".
  2. Am I the only one a bit surprised they didn't put Bellinger at first after all the switching done? Wisdom at 3rd, Boni in LF and Bellinger at 1st.
  3. Someday it would be nice to see a run score after a leadoff double. I know that I have gotten to see a Cubs World Series win in my lifetime, but now I've decided to get greedy.
  4. Would love if Mervis produced 2/3's as well in Chicago as he does in Des Moines. He would be very useful if that were the case.
  5. I could have sworn that he swung, but the result was the same as a bunt. Hard to tell with the batted ball data for Madrigal.
  6. Of course, as soon as I tune into the AAA game, Davis gets hit by a pitch. Luckily nothing appeared to fall off his body as he jogged to first base.
  7. And he went German? I guess whatever it takes...
  8. Watching this bullpen this year, there is a 10% chance he jumps out of the booth at any given time.
  9. Warning Track Power Penalty. If you hit enough to the track in a game without them going out, you lose 1 run per 4 WTP flies.
  10. God, Madrigal is the most hatable player on the Cubs since Neifi Perez.
  11. Bahahaha Reynolds shaking his head because he has no idea how he struck out against Cyle.
  12. Theoretically it would be Vazquez and then move Nico back to 2nd. Hopefully he would show that he belongs here and then Madrigal would be shot into the sun when Morel gets back.
  13. It would be one thing if he was good at throwing people out or as a great framer, but I definitely have never seen that from him.
  14. Tough play but it seems like they haven’t been making important plays on defense lately anyhow.
  15. Can we please be done with Morel batting cleanup?
  16. I’m in a hotel in Milan on vacation and my one year old has had trouble adjusting to the time change from Montana to here. So I was able to enjoy some Ben Brown. Great stuff. Would love to see him develop a passable changeup.
  17. I actually got to see one of his starts in 1996 against the Marlins. Cubs lost 3-1 or 3-2. Sosa hit his 40th homer and then I think broke his hand the next day. That was the first Cubs game I ever got to see in person.
  18. https://youtu.be/TvzVTRK1nOY?si=jajHRqCKgL-cBY9f
  19. Glad to see Ballasteros slimmed down this offseason.
  20. Hold on just a moment. We've never seen Goff had the ball off to McCaffrey. He might not be as proficient at that.
  21. I had the same thought, but I also didn't get to watch every snap of his. He seemed like he was far and away the best pass-protecting RB they had on the roster.
  22. A bit late for that.
  23. That would be quite the shock if all 4 went in the top 8 picks. Especially if 2 QBs are taken for sure and possibly 3 if Daniels is taken that early. That means at least 3 of Fashanu, Alt, Turner, Latu are still on the board. If Bowers is there at #9, you gotta take him, right? I think positionally he is the most "head and shoulders" above the rest of the position group.
