    It was better. He wasn't living in the middle-middle of the plate as much, but he was giving up some hard contact. Carpenter and Tatis both hit balls to the gap in RCF that would have been gone most days. I'll take the results and hopefully he can build on this appearance.

    Why on Earth would you not pinch hit with Happ when the guy at bat represents the tying run? Ross is frustrating.

    Listening to the Mariners TV broadcast has been great. They were super annoying after the Mariners got up big and now they sound like Thom Brennaman’s “Enough Already” moment.

    Wesneski doesn’t have good command tonight but the ump is giving him the business. He basically has to throw it down the middle to get a strike call.

    Odd that an 11-sec triple is described as “less than 17 seconds.” Technically true, but… I was trying to remember how fast Tony Womack got around the bases for his inside the park homer and that made me think 17 seconds from home to third wasn't very impressive. Then I seem to recall that Fred McGriff had one as well, either in the same game or the next day where ESPN timed both of them and Womack was scoring about the time McGriff got to second base, lol.
