It's official. Lou said that Petrick would be there tonight in a clip they play on the Score. Since Jones hasn't officially been traded, is Demp going to the DL? That's the part they haven't told us yet. I'm guessing we'll find out at game time. I'd assume this would be the case. I dont know what else they can really do. Unless they DFA Izturis =P~ -

We probably got stuck with Rasowsky. Stuck? 20 k's in 9 innings isnt that bad... 19.1 IP ahhhh. That changes things a bit. still, thats over a k per inning.

So far: Jones, PTBNL, $1 to the Marlins for an A ball pitcher. However, it was just reported that the deal has hit a "snag" Only one million? WOW! Way to go Hendry! There are more rumors that say we are paying most of his salary. Don't get your hopes up. Yeah, i should have added that, my bad.

They already did that part hours ago. Petrick is probably already in Chicago ready to pitch. If the Jones trade hadn't gone through, they would have sent somebody down instead. It sounded earlier like Dempster was going on the DL to make room for Petrick. I don't think the organization has decided if they should DL Dempster or not. Otherwise, they would have done it, and the story would be up already. The organization had originally said they wanted to take a day or two to see how demps reacts before they put him on the DL. I'd assume that if this Jones deal hadn't have gone through then they probably would have just done it anyway just so they could clear up a roster spot.

Because they got two players AND money and we got an A ball player. In all honesty, we probably did get the worst end of the deal, but Its really worth it in the end.

You got me. But as hoops pointed out, there are currently about 8 other ML shortstops who are getting on base less than Cesar. So maybe on of them? Or maybe "relocation" is a euphemism for DFA. -

They're just slowly escalating the probabilities to drag this thing out. They'd better trade Jacques soon, if they're going to. Yeah, exactly. But still...SWEET GOD I HOPE SO. I want nothing to do with jones. He did score a fairly important run last night...I know...he did nothing to actually get on...but I do have to say he served a purpose last night. No he didnt. He didnt do anything that Hill couldnt have done. Hill would have made it to third on the fumbled grounder by Matsui and He would have EASILY scored on soriano's base hit. A trained monkey could have done what jock did last night. EDIT: Oh, and dont forget, he tried to get picked off third on that matsui error. Errr, yah, that's right. Either way, Bowen would have made it too.
