  1. Also, watching the replay of ARAM prancing up to the plate is friggin awesome!
  2. must..... hear.... radio.... call Agreed. someone get that recorded for us immediately. Yes they do, cause it was awesome. I was in the car. OMG WOOO I'm pumped. They totally fixed what was a horrible day for me!
  3. OH HOLY CRAP! I was backing into my garage when Aram hit that and I almost gave myself whiplash cause i slammed on my break. FREAKIN AWESOME!!!
  4. Yeah, I dont see us sweeping this series. Mainly because we've already won 6 in a row, and that would mean winning 9 in a row...and I dont think that's gonna happen. BUT, that being said, we have every capability of doing so, with how well we've been playing recently. We MUST take 2/3. Im nervous.
  5. I know Pie has been pretty cold recently, but why is he 8th with Bowen 7th? I'd swap that.
  6. I hope you're prepared. This site is known for knowledgeable, rational, level headed fans that stray away from knee-jerk reactions....but yeah...all that goes right to hell in game threads. Especially during a big series like this :-) Or when we win...(or lose) more than one game in a row.... :D So, are you trying to say that we're NOT the favorites to win the world series right now? Blasphemy.

  8. I hate ESPN's, I usually use MLB's. never tried CBS's Yeah, I usually use MLB. ESPN has a way of crashing my computer at work, but I figured I'd give it a shot if their game cast thing is any better than MLB's.
  9. Not with all the walks he'll draw. I have a feeling a lot of pitchers will walk him more and more as he gets closer to the record, just so they won't be the team or the pitcher who gives up that acheivement Eh. I'd hit him. I'd aim for his hip, too. So he cant take it off his body armor. But, as it has been established before, I'm a jerk.
  10. well, Damn it to hell. I'll be at work so I have to rely on gameday. Speaking of which, which is better? MLB.com, ESPN.com, or CBSSports.com version of gameday? (i forget their actual names for their versions) In the past, they have all been equally as slow and unreliable. Is this still true or is there one that is better than the rest?
  11. Exactly, why move him to the rotation? (aside from the fact that he has sucked there) where would you put him? Z, Lilly, Hill, and Marquis aren't going anywhere. And Marshall has pitched his rear off since he came back up... no need to mess with the rotation.
  12. I think it'd be hilarious if this happened tomorrow. *Concurs*
  13. seriously. 3 of his best consecutive power years were his ages 38-40 seasons. Couldnt it have anything to do with the fact that during that stretch he was also playing in a popsicle-stand-sized park? I just never suspected Biggio of roids.
  14. Wow, congrats Craig. I personally cannot stand you and your lean-out-over-the-plate-with-body-armour-on self. But, congrats anyway. Thats a helluva lotta hits.
  15. Welcome to the board! (and, about your sig.... Im pretty sure Jones doesn't have any options so that would be impossible... But I'm all for DFAing him!)
  16. in 2-3 years youd be sinking 90 mil+ per year into your starting rotation. The rules of this game required that contracts were out of the question though, right?
  17. smoltz????? I always have been a big fan of Smoltz. Yeah, but If I was starting a franchise I'd probably start with a guy who wont be dead by the teams 5th anniversary. Obviously the goal would be to win a championship in the first couple of years. Well, yes, but my point is there are pitchers who can put up similar numbers and have many many more years left in their careers. Why not be better, longer? That being said, there's nothing wrong with a guy who's going to put up a 2 point ERA no matter how old he is.
  18. Frank is a great hitter, but.... I've always wondered how he is such a great hitter with such a HIDEOUS swing. God that's ugly.
  19. smoltz????? I always have been a big fan of Smoltz. Yeah, but If I was starting a franchise I'd probably start with a guy who wont be dead by the teams 5th anniversary. Anyway, Here's my five: Alex Rodriguez Albert Pujols Joe Mauer Johan Santana Carlos Zambrano I know Peavy is probably a better choice than Z, but Z is still a stud, and you can never have enough offense out of the 9 spot :-)
