    I dont see the big deal. He is a great offensive player and he has been rumored to be on the trading block a couple times now and he seems liek a player that would fit this team well... sounds like a perfect formula to lead to his name popping up here.

    in the remote chance that he would be traded, yes. More importantly, does he still have the range to play SS? He seems a lot bigger (and likely less mobile) since moving to 3B and a hurt hammy isn't going to help him transition back to SS. I think it would take an off-season for him to really work on getting back into the kind of shape needed to be an above average SS again. some say he's still a better SS than Jeter http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v429/KingJME/jetererror.jpg I'd say :D

    And more importantly, has he ever been punched by a starting pitcher, and then went to make ammends, and then gotten punched again? If so, we don't need him and his hot-headed attitude.

Nonsense. He's already the worst LF'er in baseball, he sure won't get better in right. The Cubs certainly don't need him. Are you serious? If he puts up a .350OBP and a .540+ slg% like he has been, let him sit in a lawn chair out there for all i care.
