  1. I love me some Earl Bennett in the slot(dude did bring it late in the year). Nice to read this stuff from Martz, he is great at using slot receivers....Olsen can get some mismatches over the middle too. I think the Bears are REALLY solid in that portion of the passing game. Its the WRs like a Holmes on the outside that this wr corps lacks.
  2. Yes. The bulls need to fight and show what they have as a team (not like the Lakers did this year). Put pressure on Miami to close it out at home, this series is closer than 3-1. Its going to be the Bulls V Heat next 4-5 years they need to keep going after these guys.
  3. So they actually ran it LESS THAN the first couple games and this guy says they should of abandoned it completely? They were down 2-1 by a slim margin going into this game and a play that is 15% is the cause of their latest loss which they had the ball the final possesion? If they abandon the PNR completely that would be freaking jacked up.
  4. Im not calling it a year left but regardless if the win it all... Offseason objectives: Rose improves mid range jumper off the dribble. I really could care less if he shoots better threes. Noah gets a foul line jumper and works on his game 'under' the basket. He does well dribbling and slashing. Get a shooting guard like the ones mentioned, this is the biggest roster flaw IMO. Bulls are going to need to go through Miami and Korver isnt an asset against them.
  5. yeah, i don't recall him getting many good looks at all. Even against Asik on that that step back jump shot. Lebron drove saw nothing as Asik had the footwork and length and then bailed out for a massive step back dribble jumper. Kerr loved that D and i agreed with him, that showed talent on Asik as go ahead and beat anybody with that shot over and over again. I love Asik on D. Dude rotates like a mofo and can actually play one-one-one too.
  6. Been txting my friends..."dudes Bulls exposed the flaws way more than id imagine". After the first half i was all in. Like the dudes on tv say..Defense and rebound don't streak and this wasnt a DRose please come say us come type of game. Bulls need to keep the energy, it wont be easy but im way more pleased than i was originally. Like i said to myself during game 1 against Pacers, THIS IS A TEAM. And thats POWAH!
  7. Survive and advance. Its not pretty but im not putting too much into the not 'steam rolling' the pacers. The only team im worried about on the road to the championship is the heat.
  8. Noah is awesome. He still plays like he did when he was in college, i love that. This team is pretty awesome too.
  9. Quade just laid down the [bleeping] law. Damn. I don't read this a lot in print from any manager. :hello:
  10. http://www.poologic.com Whoa. Belmont in the Final Four. I dont know if my balls are that big. Wash in the 8 is more palatable.
  11. Im in bracket where you get bonus points for upsets. I really wanted to pick Belmont over wisky and the UNC/Wash second rounder is a tough pick.
  12. Tommie was such a bad ass before the knee problems. A rare dominating pass rushing DT. Imagine a healthy Tommie with a Peppers last year or the years to come. Visions of Sapp and Rice creating havok. Oh well, the story of football. Lightning in a bottle, catch it while you can....get Cutler some Oline help.
  13. Conclusion: Carlos Marmol turns men into women...the reason they dont swing is because they are afraid or just plain waiting for a ball/walk. He has the highest called strikes AND #9 swing strike rate. I bet if they werent such women they would whiff even more. His stuff is OFF the charts. I love me some marmol and would love me some more in 2011.
  14. Marmol. Wood. Guzman. Marshall. Eff off NL.
  15. Toeina i thought was pretty solid this year, who cares if he was a Cincy 6th rounder. They should resign Adams, which im guessing they do unless he gets an awesome offer. Restructure Harris, which i think is very possible. They will need to add another DT through FA or the draft but i wouldnt have it as a high priority in the draft like spending a 1st or 2nd or maybe even a 3rd on one. I don't really think DT is a weakness of this team than requires urgency to upgrade.
  16. First Offseason move....Replace grass with field turf. Oline-FA guard and draft multiple guys, G and Tackles. WR-FA and draft. If they get Holmes, late round wr S-Draft Those are my 3 positional priorities.
  17. Ugh Clay Matthews. Don't get me wrong i think he is a very good player... but he is a 3-4 linebacker, a system player. Pittsburgh churns out these guys a dime a dozen, so does pretty much every 3-4 defense. He works in space, how bout he mix it up a little bit, cover the middle part of the field instead of the flats or short zones. What would Urlacher do in space, coming off the edge with one thing in mind or then just covering a short zone in pass coverage? Well i know what Clay would do if he was a MLB, break his neck either sticking his head in a mess or whipping it around so fast looking for what the hell, who the hell he should cover that isnt part of a short zone on the outside of the field.
  18. Julius Peppers has been some kinds of awesome this year. Fun to watch. Need a big game from him. I cannot believe this joker of am Oline has turned into something servicable. The Bears run game believe it or not is a huge asset and advantage against GB. The bears can run and GB is only average stopping it. Gb cant run and the Bears stuff it like a turkey. GB is very one dimensional. Do they have the short yardage pass plays or TE's to account for this weakness against a very good defense? The killed atlanta on big intermediate routes rather than the underneath stuff. Its an evenly matched game that comes down to big plays, special teams or flipping the field on turnovers. Whew, its gonna be a dog fight and ill be needing me some scotch to cool the ole nerves.
  19. Awesome to the Jim announcement. When i was watching the game on sunday i was like no way are they doing this. Then the jets. Yes its amps up the entertainment factor big time and to me thats what is all about, entertainment. Your team, your city, your stadium.....in a conference championship! WTF!! This home field just makes things so much more awesome. I freaking cant wait. It just so happens i will be in Vegas and i will be completely nuts on sunday at the sportsbook drinking free booz and cheering my ass off. If they win.....who the f knows. Im pumped!
  20. I can't stand Kuhn. I have no idea how this average talent jackwad makes plays in the nfl. He is not shifty yet players completely whiff on him. I can see getting trucked by this guy but whiffing on him annoys the f out of me.
  21. Bears kicked their ass yesterday despite the final score. Ive heard a couple guys on tv say that hawks blew ops by dropping passes (well you can say that about ANY game). I thought the Bears coverage was pretty solid and very aggressive. A couple of those drops was because they had CB's draped all over them. The oline played pretty good and Forte had another fantastic game. Hell even Chester had his best game of the year. The Bears short yardage plays were the best they've had all year. I liked the sneak to unbalanced side, the qb draw and the jay rollout for a rush td. Oh, and thanks for the QB Denver you dumbasses. This wont be the last time we take your qb to the playoffs and this weekend is the start of Rodgers V Cutler playoffs matchup. Suck it. I love Jay Cutler.
  22. That was pretty sweet yesterday. The bears have been really good running on the outside since they got the line in order and began to run the ball more. Sweeps and those pitch counters. I feel pretty good about the pack winning.
  23. What makes Haley so awesome? He is more offensive minded and they were 30th last year, now they are 11th with Weis and Cassel is having a great year. Its not like Haley has some pedigree to lean on, what the hell has he ever done. This is like McDaniels running Nolan out of town because of some relationship. Seems like a strange move for Charlie though. The Florida offense is really going to change and the scheme Meyer ran was freaking awesome.
  24. I like Sutcliffe, if Brenly would leave he would be my TV color #1. Steve Stone can kiss my ass. I want an Ex-Cub.
  25. Toe has been solid, best DT for the Bears this year. He gets a decent pass rush and blows up some run plays. I'll be interested to see what type of pass rush the Bears can put together against the Pack, if it sucks like last week and they end up having to play the pack in the playoffs ill be extremely worried. It really is pretty amazing what the Bears offense has done since the bye week. This truly isnt the same team is was early in the season. Cutler, the oline pass and run blocking, Forte all better. Mike Martz =D>
