  1. If I stop to think i will be dead. So no.
  2. Those numbers are putrid. Putrid i say. Its a wonder this team is only 2 games below .500. Now in defense of the team and these numbers, the last 9 games have been downright awful really throwing these numbers in the tank. The last 9 games have been so bad that this third of the season (30 games so far) makes this team look like the royals YTD when they are probably not. OMG i just said probably, thats sorry.
  3. Ok so is the stats simply saying hes not finding the holes yet? If his career BABIP is .323 and he is at .275 thats a big change. I dont think its fair to compare Piere's BABIP to the average MLB player. He has much more speed and probably puts the ball on the ground more to shoot it through the infield or leg out an infield hit that the average player cannot do. Do they have stats on what his average is for laying down bunts. That would be interesting.
  4. So wouldl Angel Guzman, thats the dilemna. Both pitched today so Wood could take Gooz' spot in the rotation very nicely.
  5. I think hes ready. Lets be done with this and move on.
  6. I dont understand Pierres OBP. He's doesnt swing at balls outside the zone and hes not a true hack like Neifi. He sees a fair amount of pitches n(even though Pitches per plate appearance isnt a true indication of a good BB rate). He just doesnt swing and miss enough. I know that sounds strange. When he swings he usually puts a bat on the ball and now that he is putting the bat on the ball hes not hitting it square, he has this terrible BA and thus bad OBP. Swing and miss Juan!!!
  7. The bastards continue to suck me in. Ill be listening to them on the radio.
  8. Thats impressive. I dont care what teams he is pitching against.
  9. Might be a good thing this isnt on the national WGN broadcast.
  10. Damn business meeting. Guzman. is he wild with the fastball or off speed pitch? i was hoping for more from him today. at least the 6 ks looks good. 4 hits not too bad.
  11. I would really like the pick if they were creative enough to get him some touches on offense. But I'm not sure how creative the Bears actually are, and if they can find a way to use him appropriately. I still think it was a reach selection, given that he doesn't have a real position. I would have liked one of those slash QBs around the 4th round. Instead of overpaying Randle El in free agency, they could have found a cheap one in the draft. FWIW. I heard Carolina was on the phone with Hester as the Bears were selecting him. Carolina has the best front office in the NFL ya know  From the clip of highlights i think Dusty will fit in real well with this defense. I see him making some plays and doing some good stuff in this dline rotation. He can do well in passing situations up the middle. Scott doesnt get much pressure and Tank is a ? going into this year. Boone is not a pass rushing tackle either. Manning seems really interesting. I know he was DII but really, how many safties can return punts or kicks. Since the Bears wont be giving out 1st round money do you over pay for Briggs. Im not saying give him Urlacher money but this might give them more flex. Huston as UDFA could be out Gould.
  12. Bears get their tight end: Tim Day from Oregon. Draft Exchange Analysis: Marcedes Lewis may be the best receiving Tight End, Vernon Davis may be the most athletic, and Leonard Pope might be the biggest, but Tim Day is the most balanced. Tim Day has all the tools necessary to be successful at the next level, size (6’4” 265 lbs) speed (4.7 40 time) and strength (390 lb bench, 505 lb squat). While Day has the potential and talent to be a great Tight End, he has been slowed down his college career by minor injuries (should injury in 2003, foot injury in 2004). He also hasn’t produced like Marcedes Lewis, Vernon Davis, and Leonard Pope have. Despite all this, I still feel that his talent and potential is too great to be ignored, and in the right system, can flourish. Tim Day will be best fit with a team that needs a good Tight End that can block and catch well, a team seeking balance. Didnt do as well last year under Crowtons offense. I think we can all relate to Crowton jokester offense.
  13. he hasnt pitched since the 24th i think.
  14. Jenkins wants to go home. that was meat.
  15. Sad Commentary Alert: I honestly think it will be better if this game gets called. Give up and move on the next day to not tax this bullpen anymore. They will need it the next 2 days with marshall and guzman. please god end this thing.
  16. Strike up the band. We got a Hit Parade.
  17. no. the bullpen is going to be rundown. oh and marshall starts tomorrow and id be happy with 6 from him
  18. bad swing on that one. way out of the zone
