  1. No, they won't. That would be dumb. Any of these deals would be better than the comp pick. Yes, they will and they'll resign him. You sure don't think much of Jed and Theo.
  2. Marlin is the best. That's pretty bad news, but the delay makes more sense now. In recent months, TY and ICG have had more info and it's been pretty on spot. ICG? Newish poster at PSD...InsideCubGuy...he has been talking about a potential Garza to the Pirates deal for a week now...CubsDen now jumping on that bandwagon.

  4. ABTY7 Well, I stand corrected. His eyes are that [expletive] up or is it something else? Don't challenge ABTY...unless you want an angry, aggressive davell on your hands.
  5. I'm hearing Perez/Profar/Feliz for Garza/Castro/Rizzo. More info coming soon. Sweeney extension in the works, will man first base.
  6. Thanks...I'm not sure he'd be pumped for a Mexico-El Salvador final.
  7. Thinking of taking my son to the Gold Cup finals in Chicago...you guys who know a lot more than I do about soccer, are the chances good that the US will be in that game?
  8. Yes, I do in fact believe Bryant will play baseball again. Actually, I've heard he's opting to forgo his baseball career to persue his true passion; needlepoint. LOL!!!!!
  9. Touché. If anything, adding Olt likely pushes Vitters off 3B finally and to LF, I'd imagine? Or out of the system all together.
  10. Anyone else think the Pirates might be a good trade partner? Where's Jake when you need him?

  12. oh brother. this guy has a future in broadcasting for sure. Truffle have you ever played ball before? These ball players see each other more than they see their families. Traveling together, eating together, and hell they even shower together. When you compete in a team sport against other teams you bond together. It sort of like having a little brother...you can beat the hell out him anytime but by god if someone else lays a hand on him all sorts of hell will get unleashed. I don't think anyone here has actually played baseball before. We all just obsessively talk about it for other reasons that don't involve ever playing the game. To put into a more familiar perspective, I'll assume that most of us have been to college. Maybe some in a frat. Becoming one of the boys can happen very quickly. Think about how much time these guys spend togeter starting with Spring training. Very similar situation. So, nobody jumped on this, huh?
  13. But Texas A&M isn't oversigning....they have eig....never mind, let's talk ND instead of this. Out of the four 5 stars, which are you most excited about? They all bring so much to the table. Jaylon will be the best player long term. Bryant is the first stud back we have signed in a very long time. Vanderdoes is a hoss and solidifies our line for the foreseeable future (Tuitt-Nix-Vanderdoes is pretty sexy). But, I think Redfield might be the most important signing. Our defensive backfield was exposed in the MNC game and we need some truly elite DB's...Redfield is in that category. GREAT class...future is bright.
  14. I don't think your numbers are right. We had 8 early enrollees that counted towards 2012 since we signed a very small class last year. We signed 23 today and had room for 2 more. One is not going to qualify so he didn't sign (Derrick Griffin will go JUCO and hopefully end up at A&M eventually) and one decided to grayshirt since he won't be able to play in 2013 anyway (JJ Gustafson blew out his knee in his last HS game). 23+8+2=33 Apparently you're good at math but horrible at understanding what "signee" means. Isaac Savaiinaea. Manti Te'o's dad is his coach. A&M was after him hard but his position coach and main recruiter both took other jobs in the past month or so. Combine that with the fact that his parents were unable to accompany him on his official to College Station and that killed our chances. Should be a great player as long as he stays away from fake chicks on the Internet. You called me horrible at math and then proceeded to discuss the 33 guys I was talking about. So why play dumb? He explained it. Eight of these guys are early enrollees and don't count towards this year's numbers.
  15. I didn't see him play this year. He may have redshirted. What's his name? I'm curious where he fits into Ole Miss' plans.
  16. How good is Treadwell's best friend? Where is he on the depth chart?
  17. Does anyone else think Texas A&M is going to experience a major drop off and soon? The way Old Style talks, you'd think that they have been a national power for the last decade. They have been a middle of the road Big 12 team for years...they have a dynamic quarterback and a good coach, but I think this is the best season A&M will have. Will it really surprise anyone if they settle into being an 8-4 team every year? One ten win season with a semi-flukey win over Alabama doesn't convince me that they can really pull ahead of Alabama, LSU, Florida in the short or long term. For the record, I'm not convinced ND can continue to be a 10-12 win team either...
  18. Aren't the polls based on body of work? Your first sentence explains exactly why Florida is ranked higher.
  19. After losing to A&M this year, I expect Bama to come in and manhandle the Aggies next fall.
  20. I think Carlo comes back for a 5th year and plays in the middle...not crazy about it, but I think that's what happens...Jaylon will immediately upgrade the outside backer position, so I don't think we take a huge hit. We just really need our secondary to make strides. Slaughter may be coming back and, if healthy, it helps a lot.
  21. Highly unlikely that they go 8-4.
