    Hot Take: The 2016 Super Cubs ruined regular season baseball for me. Anything less than that seems like a giant disappointment.

    This just isn't the same Quintana that I saw pitch for the Sox. Even when he's pitching ok hes super inefficient and doesn't go more than 6 innings. We built what we thought was a rotation of number 2 starters, when in actuality it feels like we built a rotation of number 4 starters. Quintana sucks. Not even sure if he was available, but would’ve rather had G Cole than this soft tossing lefty. Crazy how the Astros added with Verlander and Cole, we added Quintana and Darvish.

    That whole "it's so great that Quintana's cheap contract enabled us to get Darvish" conversation feels like a long time ago. This just isn't the same Quintana that I saw pitch for the Sox.     What the horsefeathers is wrong with these teams? I could understand the ballpark boom of the 90s-00s replacing those crappy multi-purpose 70's stadiums, adding revenue streams, etc but there was not enough wrong with Turner Field, Rangers Stadium (whatever its called these days) and Chase Field to spend enormous sums of money, public or otherwise. All that said, downtown Phoenix is a depressing mess. Possibly the worst downtown of a major city in the US. They had 20+ years to improve downtown to make the Chase Field location more attractive but everyone is so sprawled out in the metro area that no one goes there (outsider's perspective).
