  1. Definitely one nice 5-6 minute drive
  2. Rodgers making those adjustments and carving us up now
  3. Offense has been the least impressive part of tonight. Don’t get me wrong I’m thrilled to be up 3 scores but need that offense humming to be great in 2018
  4. Offense looks like it scripted the first 15 plays and then what has come since hasn’t looked as great
  5. Boy I’m glad we called that guy
  6. of course the backup QB comes in and leads them down the first right away
  7. So I've never really watched Allen Robinson play (with Jags or PSU), but is it fair to say he's a prime Brandon Marshall or does he got more downfield game like Jeffery? He’s seemed more like Jeffery to me but I’ve only seen highlights back in the day when he was on my fantasy team
  8. Hah I was looking at this exact hat yesterday and had the same concern. I think it would look alright
  9. Hicks is a horsefeathering monster. Maybe he will actually get recognized as such now
  10. This is like the Bears version of depantsing the Cardinals in 2015. Wow. I mean I’m sure it won’t work this well once there is film to study but holy horsefeathers I don’t think that could have gone any better
  11. Umm this doesn’t look like the football I’m used to
  12. I know this can’t be true but it feels like the Packers always score on their first drive against the Bears so this is a big win
  13. i just noticed rmack has already moved on to Mahomes
  14. While it probably isn’t as mentally draining as playing a full game, it’s definitely not the same as an off day. They still have to report to the stadium, get pregame work in, prepare for the game, and then waiting around and actually leaving the ballpark after you normally would. There’s obviously a lot of “work” that goes on that isn’t the actual game. And it’s more time away from their families, homes, etc
  15. I’m guessing the argument is that since the NL WC game is on Tuesday, they can’t be prepared for a scenario where the Cubs make up the game on Monday, then potentially have a Brewers/Cubs tiebreaker for division on Tuesday, pushing the WC game to Wednesday on the same date as the AL game with the NLDS starting on Thursday. It could look like this: Monday - Cubs vs Nationals in Washington Tuesday - Cubs vs Brewers in Milwaukee Wednesday - Cubs vs Cardinals in Chicago Thursday - Cubs vs Brewers in Milwaukee At least the travel Tu-Th is minimal in that scenario Anyways, the chances of all of that coming to fruition are very very small. Enough that it doesn’t make sense for the Cubs to report to the ballpark 30 days in a row down the stretch of a pennant race
  16. The Cubs will have reported to the ballpark for a game on 41 of the final 42 days of the season
  17. WHY THE horsefeathers are they so insistent on making the Cubs play this during the horsefeathering season? This is unbelievable. The MLB is doing everything they can to make life as difficult as possible for the Cubs and I don’t know why. There are at least 2 seasons in recent memory of a Cubs game getting cancelled and never being rescheduled because the Cubs didn’t need the games. why can’t this happen again?
  18. So 2 games up going into our series? Gotta somehow win 2 of 3
  19. Part of me wants them to force this game in because of the starter we are facing. If the game is made up we might have to face Scherzer with our playoff fate on the line. But on the other hand this is ridiculous and in no way can sitting around for hours at the ballpark be beneficial to the team
  20. I’m going to bed. Baseball is stupid and we should all feel shame for following it
  21. Of course now the rain is going to end the game
  22. Bryant and Russell in 2016: 60 HR in 1128 AB (1 every 18.8 AB) Bryant and Russell in 2018: 16 HR in 775 AB (1 every 48.4 AB)
  23. Yep this is where punting a game can bite you in the ass. Can’t believe Joe didn’t match up Cole and Scherzer tbh.
  24. This is where 23 in a row is brutal with a team whose starters can’t pitch deep. Bullpen is way too taxed and can’t catch a break. We knew this was going to be a really tough stretch, very solid teams, long road trip, etc. I was kind of expecting a collapse in the back half of the stretch. Really sucks that the Brewers get to play out the last 3 games of our death march.
  25. Who the horsefeathers injures themself trying to catch a ball that is out by 20 feet?
