  1. I wonder if the bye week really helps all that much, especially with a team that is relatively healthy. bye weeks before week 8 are awful and should be banned. Agreed but I feel like they would never due to due to how much fantasy football makes. Can’t have 8 teams a week go on bye
  2. I wonder if the bye week really helps all that much, especially with a team that is relatively healthy. I don’t know but Andy Reid teams are famous for looking awesome after the bye so I was hoping for something similar. Instead the entire team has fallen flat on its face
  3. I’ve only seen Osweiler games against the Bears, I presume he is the greatest QB of all time?
  4. Welp, gonna be shut out the first half after the bye and after scoring 48 points in our last game.
  5. How do you fumble at the horsefeathering goal line? Bears are doing everything possible to lose this game
  6. That is not going to help Jordan Howard get more carries
  7. Hey Tarik, you know forward is a direction you are allowed to run
  8. At times I’ve criticized Mitch for not checking down but now it seems like he’s giving up on the primary option way too early. He gets a little bit of pressure early on and all the sudden he looks petrified
  9. So Mack is dead. This has been a great day so far
  10. Not been impressed with Mitch so far today
  11. I will say though it feels great to be flipping out about the Bears. They have played pretty damn awful on both sides of the ball though so far
  12. Jesus Christ how did Cohen not get a 1st down on that play? Terrible
  13. Come on Mitch if you are going to run it on 3rd and 2 you have to take a hit not slide short of the 1st
  14. I had a feeling this was gonna be a tougher than expected game. Hopefully this is just a blip and I’m dead wrong
  15. Ahh man had Miller wiiiide open. Dammit
  16. Somewhere the Brewers IMB is assuring their fans that the Dodgers are winning this series and it’s not going to make it back to Milwaukee
  17. How the hell did arcia randomly turn from a .560 OPS hitter to a star once the season ended? 8-18, 2 HR, 6 runs scored in the 6 games after game 162
  18. 1-2 more losses and they are out
  19. I’d prefer they not win the World Series but overall I’m fine with it. Them talking trash about having the more recent championship is the worst thing that can happen out of all of this. Whatever, it would have bothered me a LOT more pre-2016. These days it’s just a minor annoyance.
  20. Did Grandal forget how to catch or something
  21. Looking into the Cubs batted ball numbers between 2017 and 2018 is interesting GB% 2017 - 45.5% (10th highest) 2018 - 46.0% (3rd highest) OK so they hit more ground balls but only 5 more grounders per 1000 batted balls, pretty close to the same LD% 2017 - 19.6% (22nd) 2018 - 21.4% (16th) Here they actually increased over 2018 fairly significantly but are still sitting middle of the league Hard Hit% 2017 - 31.2% (18th) 2018 - 31.7% (28th) They actually had a higher percentage of hard hit balls (though only by 0.5%) but despite that plummeted to the bottom of the league. This probably has something to do with the league wide focus on line drives, launch angle, exit velocity, etc. BABIP 2017 - .302 (15th) 2018 - .313 (2nd) What does this tell us? I don't know just thought they were interesting as I would have expected a large increase in GB% and drops in LD% and Hard Hit%. I guess this is where the Chili-led focus on putting it in play instead of focusing on hitting it hard with a good launch angle might show up. Also BABIP is interesting because some people credited Chili ball with the Cubs being at the top of the league in BA, and some of that might be true if they are hitting it harder but keeping it in the park.
