I miss when the Cubs could neutralize good starters by driving their pitch count up and getting to the pen early. Right now Gray is on track to go 7 or 8 innings

Can’t just throw a season away with this D in place. The clock is ticking. If Mitch has nothing to offer they’ve got to see if they can get close to mediocre at QB. I’m not there yet but I could see benching him if another two games go by with no improvement. There is nobody they can bring in from the outside that would be competent and Chase Daniel already showed how awful he is, losing to the Giants last year. It's Mitch or nothing this year. Yeah seriously, are we suggesting that Tyler Bray is the way to maximize having an elite defense this year? Look Mitch has been terrible this year and is likely not the answer long term at QB, but with Bray you are getting Mitch's performance on Sunday without the one good throw at the end. I still have faith that Mitch can play adequately enough to be the clear better option than anyone else on the roster or anyone who would be available midseason. -
TMan is literally watching the other two games instead of this one. I can't imagine living my life as a fan that way Nobody tell him about...modern technology, I guess. Does...does Derwood really think people talking about the other games are intently watching them and not just checking their cell phones every so often?

A .507 team just won at a .909 clip over their last 11 games and played much better competition too (Cubs, Cardinals) Oh also that .507 team was the Brewers So that's going to keep going the rest of the season? They aren't due for a massive regression? I mean yeah it’s more likely than not that they won’t go 11-1 or whatever but based on their schedule of playing nothing but 70 or less win teams the rest of the year it’s certainly possible though clearly not probable

i literally could not care what the brewers are doing, its all cardinals I mean I get your sentiment but the Brewers are exclusively playing garbage teams that are just trying to get their season over with. The Cubs could go 5-2 against the Cardinals and still get passed.

My inner meatball still feels we got a lot of teams at their best point in the season. The Nats couldn’t make an out against us and two weeks prior. Now they suck To be fair, they were playing pretty poorly when we took 2 of 3 from them in Washington

Every single one of his posts is about how great the Cardinals are and he’s made no attempt to discuss anything else so umm...time here will be limited. There are several quality posters here that have the unfortunate distinction of being Cardinals fans but they attempt to add to the discussion on a Cubs forum.
