  1. So which of the 2 runs that the Cubs have scored in their last 2 postseason appearances was your favorite?
  2. Damn, I have the game on one monitor while I'm working and the announcer's voice got me excited for Bryants routine fly out. Damn you.
  3. Just when I started to be comfortable with Sixto being in the game he's gone
  4. Why is Schwarber of all people hitting 4th? Do people think his .192 BA scare opposing pitchers? I mean I get it, not like there are a ton of options, but a struggling low average hitter who has been walking a lot less lately, striking out a ton and is a liability later in the game against LH relievers shouldn't be in a prime spot in the lineup. It's not worth the 5% chance he gets into one for a HR, especially with the wind blowing heavily in and temperatures cold. I'd honestly rather have Heyward hitting there.
  5. Schwarber will either strike out or homer here
  6. 4 of the last 5 hitters have gotten on base, but no runs have scored lol
  7. Bravo Schwarber he played that perfectly and then made a dart of a throw from across his body.
  8. Damn that was so close...huge decision here but i think they'll say safe
  9. There was maybe a 20% chance of the throw being off or the tag being missed. Is that higher than the odds Javy actually hits one for a sac fly?
  10. And I agree with it 100%. Symptom of having a terrible offense, you need to take advantage of a situation like that, especially with Javy in deck who has no chance of putting the ball in play Edit: and as I hit submit he hits what would have been a sac fly
  11. What is more likely: Cubs get a hit to drive someone home from 2nd or KB Sac bunts and we get a runner home from 3rd with 1 out?
  12. smart marlins getting a hit with 0 outs instead of 2 outs and no one on.
  13. he looked like he was swinging a bat made of lead. He needs to drop the leg kick. It will sacrifice a ton of power but the way his swing is now, there is no way hes catching up to 98+
  14. seems like a success whenever the cubs put one in play. at least then theres the chance of an error
  15. Is there any metrics out there that can manage bat speed? I think Javy's bat speed has slowed down enough to make him terrible. He was right on the first 2 strikes in that AB and just swung late.
  16. It's a thing this year, but I don't think its something theyve been bad at in the past, other than difficulty with velocity. They could feast on 91-95 but when we faced pitchers throwing 97+ we struggled.
  17. Well that was completely awful and exactly what I was expecting lol
  18. 2 pitches in and I'm convinced the Cubs are getting 3 hits max. Better make them count.
  19. Now comes the part that annoys me
  20. Weird. Meanwhile, Football Outsiders has the Bears as the 5th worst 3-0 team in terms of DVOA since 1985 (overall ranked 17th in the league) https://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2020/week-3-dvoa-ratings
  21. Almost half of the playoffs consisted of Central teams. There’s a fairly decent chance that there will be no Central teams in either LDS.
  22. God the Padres are unbelievably fun.
