Welp Bears down 13. Haven’t been able to slow the Falcons down at all besides the one drive. The Falcons also get the ball to start the second half so if the Bears can’t score here it’s going to be really tough for the Bears to stay in the game

Someone typed up all the Cardinals scenarios for tomorrow/Monday. While it doesn’t talk about seeding outside of the Cardinals, I’m pretty sure the Cubs can only play the Marlins or Cardinals so you should be able to determine the Cubs opponent in every one of the scenarios

If I’m the Marlins, do I even want to try to win tomorrow? Would you rather play the Cubs in the WC Round or the Padres? Padres are 3 time zones away, are the dangerous young team full of bats, and the winner likely plays the Dodgers in the NLDS. Though depending on Clevenger’s health, maybe you want to avoid Darvish and Hendricks shutting you down in 2 games. Interesting dilemma. If the Marlins want the Cubs they can certainly dictate that tomorrow

I'm so damn confused...am I right in saying that the only scenario where the Cubs play the Cardinals if the Cardinals and Reds both lose tomorrow (regardless of what the Marlins do) ASSUMING the Cardinals also clinch a playoff spot tomorrow? I've literally been typing up scenarios for the last 30 minutes but I got a headache and just deleted everything. Edit: nevermind, if the Cardinals lose tomorrow they’d be tied with the Brewers duh

They will not be playing those games. Cubs will play the Marlins with a Cardinals win or Marlins loss. No reason for the Cardinals to play those games i don't believe. They still haven’t clinched a playoff spot right?. I think if the Brewers win tomorrow the Cardinals will have to play those games

I think the Cubs clinched the WC on a day they lost on 2015 and the division on a day they lost on 2016. In 2017 they actually clinched with a win

Yeah definitely. Right now if the Cardinals lose they will be percentage points ahead of the Marlins. Though if you feel dirty rooting for the Cardinals, you can just root for the Reds, though they are losing too right now

Because neither of those plays are officially errors, Lester’s ERA goes up 0.76 runs in his last start and he will finish the year with a 5.16 ERA ugh
