  1. Hopefully 3 days off helps but I'm not sure...I think we just need to take what we can get from PCA at this point and hope he works out the offensive issues.
  2. It's times like these I beg Mr. Ken Tremendous to restart FireJoeMorgan.com. It's time.
  3. At the very least we’re making them a little nervous at this point.
  4. Not sure. Is it possible it was originally a Mon-Wed series and they moved the other games to Wed and Thurs to prevent the MLB from breaking the CBA by making them play 21 games in 20 days?
  5. I know I’m the only weirdo still keeping tabs on the Reds but they lost so the lead is 10 with 23 games to go. If they went 11-12 the rest of the way, the Reds would have to go 21-2 to tie the Cubs (and presumably surpass them unless both losses were to the Cubs and the Cubs somehow still won the divisional tiebreaker)
  6. Cubs obviously did which is why they decided to save their energy and not score any more.
  7. 80 wins before 60 losses. I always find records look so much cooler when it’s something like 80-59 as opposed to 81-60
  8. And the Cubs decided to just score in the one inning today.
  9. Against Albies, and guys with 20 and 17 HR this year.
  10. Is it just me or is the score 4-3 in the 8th inning in like 80% of Cubs games since mid-July
  11. Willi Castro and Slumping Suzuki as your 2nd and 3rd hitters is brutal
  12. I was right. Though I did not want to be right
  13. He had a weird looking slide earlier that I thought looked strange but they did t say anything about it nor did he look shaken up
  14. It’s just hard to believe based on where we were at the ASB that Seiya’s OPS for the season is nearly 50 points lower than 2023 and 2024 his last 40 games not including today: .194 .329 .254 .583
  15. Are we hitting again? Oppo into the wind and easily gone
  16. Kevin Alcantara moves ahead of Arismendy as the greatest Alcantara in Cubs history
  17. Geez guys Ian Happ wasn’t unlucky, he just suddenly started getting better results despite having the same type of batted ball data. edit: also I didn’t read the last 20 posts or so I’m probably beating a dead horse
  18. Reminds me of the infamous September 2018 Cubs Death March
  19. Has anyone mentioned that this game thread says Brewers @ Cubs? I am assuming it’s been pointed out but I just noticed it lol
