    Man I feel like it's Groundhog Day. We've probably had this discussion every year this board has been around. Every team slumps, every team surges, but not many teams surge like the stretch the Cubs just finished.

    I didn't hate Boozer. He was as advertised...below average athletic big that can't play defense but was a big body who could score and hit a jumper. Any disappointment I had about him was due to the fact that he was the consolation prize in the LeBron/Wade/Bosh sweepstakes. All that said, if his son is anything like his father in terms of traits and skills, I'm not terribly excited about him. If he's more explosive and athletic I feel a little better about him.

    Seems like my opinion is different than others but I'd be over the top happy. There are definitely questions but you are getting a 1.01 talent at 4th overall. I can understand the red flags, but I also know this is a guy who was aiming for the NBA as soon as he stepped foot on campus. You hope that whatever coach you hire can get him to buy in and watch his talent take the franchise places it hasnt been in well over a decade

    The K-rate and overall in zone contact rate are very concerning but hey maybe he's a unicorn and can defy those red flags.

    I think this is similar to what NBA players have done with meniscus injuries. The second Rose knee injury they opted to repair the meniscus and he missed the rest of the season. When he happened again, I'm pretty sure he opted to have it removed and was back shortly after. The tradeoff is that it can shorten your career and/or cause flair ups in the future. Boyd is 35 so maybe isn't as concerned about the long term ramifications.
