Definitely thought about that,. Though this inning appears to be going quickly and Thielbar has only thrown 17 pitches. Might consider keeping him in through Yelich for the lefty matchup? That might be too much to ask. -

the thing is though, he's annoyingly patient and guessing even when he's going well. His big issue IMO is he's not driving the ball at all and getting beat by breaking pitches to the outside. He's always going to take annoying ass called strike 3s or look downright bad some ABs because he's guessing.

Yeah it was a fair strike call. It's just frustrating that it seems like he rarely gets a gift on a pitch that just barely nicks the zone, while also getting pitches several inches outside the zone also called. I really dont know it keeps happening but at this point he needs to be more aggressive with 2 strikes, especially in a run producing spot in the order with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs.

As he started to swing I was about to be upset that he might have swung at ball 4 but that outcome is much better

Reds up 4-1 over the Angels so we’ll only gain 0.5 over them. I think we stay 6 up in the loss column with 36 to play.

Man I wish we somehow won the first game Monday. Imagine how hyped wed be knowing we cliched the tiebreaker and had a chance to pull within 3 or 5 games if we swept or split the rest
