  1. I’d personally start the 8th with Soroka with Keller waiting in the wings but what do I know?
  2. Ahh let’s not count outs, 2003 was only 22 years ago, still too soon
  3. Can’t see that being overturned but as one of the last 8 outs in the game it’s the right call
  4. You think Keller will go 2 if Drew gets through this inning?
  5. Wow, I know Drew is coming in after this but surprised to see Palencia out for a 3rd different inning
  6. You think so? It’s an elimination game, I think they’ll extend him beyond what they normally would unless he gets in trouble
  7. 100%. Mo and then Castro at 3B Craig is managing the staff like an elimination game but doesn’t seem to be doing the same with the lineup
  8. I’d honestly PH for Shaw here. I know defense is more important here but Castro likely not that much worse and I don’t think Shaw has any shot of doing anything here
  9. If the Cubs can win this, you get that vomit feeling doubled due to facing the Brewers
  10. Which in a series where 9 total runs have been scored in 2.5 games should be the MVP overall
  11. Lmao Arraez is going to be seeing Dansby in his nightmares
  12. Yeah if I recall correctly it’s usually when he goes away from the fastball with 2 strikes when he’s had trouble
  13. Same. He will never get a fly ball the rest of his Cubs career that I’m comfortable with him catching.
  14. I swear a majority of the hits Palencia gives up come with 2 strikes. With his stuff he shouldn’t be having trouble finishing hitters as much as he does
  15. And .161 against Thielbar. If the top of their order wasn’t coming up for the 3rd time the next inning I’d be ok with him taking that inning but he was only going to go 1 additional inning max. In that case you might as well give yourself a marginal advantage
  16. It’s like blackjack, you can’t assure yourself of the outcome, all you can do is play the percentages (monty burns reference) and hope it plays out in your favor. Obviously it’s a bit more complex than that like the fact that Thielbar didn’t get through the inning, but they still have the arms to get them through the game and then some
  17. 2 of their 3 hits have dribbled through the exact same freaking spot
