  1. Cleveland just took the lead in the bottom of the 8th. Hope this doesn't start a trend of Game 3's
  2. It's sad that we think that way. We have the capacity to line doubles down the line like they just did. Wind blowing in shouldn't automatically mean there can't be any offense.
  3. No one. They said he's been struggling in the first inning so lets have his first inning be against a more lefty heavy part of the lineup and have one less time against their best hitters.
  4. Seiya has been solid defensively but I'm sorry he should not be waving off any fly balls that PCA can get to. Every time he goes to catch a fly ball I have flashbacks of the drops against Atlanta and Cincinnati.
  5. I guess PCA is only going to be useful for his defense in this series. Seems to press very easily. Start of his career in 2023, start of 2024, start of 2025, long slump this year, now the start of his first playoff series. He was starting to look better at the end of the year, now he's up there guessing again and being over eager.
  6. Yeah but the Padres will have a quick trigger today so if he struggles hopefully its HR balls or at least a couple of quick XBH
  7. He was the number 1 overall pick in the draft too. I was living in Maryland at the time and remember there being a lot of hype for him even though I was like 8 years old
  8. He has been awful but from what I've seen his peripherals haven't changed that much. Also Wrigley basically plays like Petco these days.
  9. Plus I'm assuming you want to save Soroka for potential multiple innings later in the game.
  10. Repeat of yesterday. Busch with a long fly out, Nico with a single
  11. Stupid camera angle...for a half second I was tricked into thinking it might have a chance.
  12. Yeah thats what I was just saying. Ultimately, Craig is smarter at baseball than us and has access to more data that goes way beyond "those guys faced him yesterday, bad idea" so I'll trust it was the right call.
  13. I'm fine with the opener. A little concerned that he chose a guy who Tatis and Arraez both got to see 22 hours ago.
  14. Padres bats definitely look livelier today. Even foul offs are being hit well
