    Hoerner solo HR. Keegan got into trouble 1 inning but got out of it unscathed and has 5 shutout innings so far. Cubs up 1-0

    I feel like I heard something about Stroman, Miley and Smyly all starting to throw like 10 or so days ago. I would assume at least 1 of them would be back in the next 2 weeks, no? Edit: Just googled it, Stroman and Smyly are likely to start this weekend

    Beth Mowins is fine. Sutcliffe is awful, though. I was gonna say, what’s wrong with Beth Mowins? She’s solid.

    I mean they did do bottom to dynasty in 4 years before right? Actually the rebuild sort of looks like the last Blackhawks down period. After a long run of playoff teams they started missing the playoffs and tried to make moves shake things up and stay in the mix, even making a random playoff appearance once. Soon after they made the conscious decision to gut rebuild. So maybe 4 years? The Avs were terrible in 2016 and were in cup contention by 2020 and won it in 2022

    Dodgers outscored the Cubs 20-3 in their 3 game series at Wrigley, so that’s something we can aim to beat

    It’s probably good that they are going for a full tear down but I’m just going to tune out the Blackhawks for 5-6 years most likely. Doesn’t seem like the NHL is a league you can fast track a rebuild

    Third Bears FA signing to get arrested this offseason. What the horsefeathers going on over there lol. I know the Bears FO can't prevent people from getting arrested and not sure if any of the guys had track records of issues with the law but not a great look.

    Yes and that's the other thing too....it's not like the Browns had a terrible QB situation. Baker is Baker but clearly injuries had an effect on his play and he actually really liked playing in Cleveland. I get that the Browns had to make a decision on his future contractually but it seems really weird to take such a gigantic risk to get a low character guy like Watson and then extend him instead of bringing back Baker and/or maybe working something out with him for the next few years.

    Anyways back to the move. I am trembling with glee waiting for the Watson suspension to come down. Browns might ultimately get some good seasons out of Watson but lets recap what they did: -Gave significant assets to acquire a great QB but one who has 20+ allegations of sexual misconduct, has not played a game in 1.5 years, and is awaiting a massive suspension -Gave that QB a massive extension -Did not have a plan to figure out what to do with their current franchise QB and ended up trading him away for essentially nothing Now Watson is looking at a suspension that will likely continue into the 2023 season. When he plays his first game with Cleveland it will be nearly 3 years since his last game which is roughly the amount of time between games that Vick had after going to jail. The Browns who are otherwise in a win now position are forced to use Jacoby Brissett at QB and are limited in draft assets because of the Watson trade (though I assume Watson's contract will not count against the cap while suspended?). Oh and the QB they gambled their future on is a piece of horsefeathers. I may not believe in karma but sometimes I wonder.

    At 100 pitches through 7. I assume they will turn it over to Williams and Hader to finish it off. One more Hader flop would be hilarious though.

    He also has a 5.07 ERA in 110 Triple A innings during that time. Very strange.
