Random but LOL at the xG for the England - Iran game https://twitter.com/prematchodds/status/1594737886062153735 I wasn't able to watch, does Iran just have the world's worst keeper?
FWIW, the Rapoport report is much more positive re: Fields
I think it would be a ridiculously shortsighted decision to play Fields on Sunday but whatever
Sanborn had 2 last week. The defensive line hasn't had a sack since Washington, though. Yeah my bad, I meant the DL. You know, the group that should be getting a large percentage of the sacks theoretically.
I think Iran beating Wales is better... I gamed this out on reddit earlier: To me the order of preference is Iran win, draw and Wales win the least desirable. But someone else above pointed out that Iran would bunker up for a point and I hadn't thought about that so maybe the safest is a draw.
This definitely reads to me like he's out for the year but wants the Jets to gameplan for him or something. But I guess you could spin it the other way too and take it as a positive
the good news is the US will be playing in prime time in the next one. But what the hell are you doing working this week? Please put all England's matches in the latest window so they have to watch in the middle of the night. Send them to Canada too and make them play in a CFL stadium
Painful to settle for 1 after having lead until the 83rd minute but that's an acceptable result. 0 would have been a complete disaster and probably cost us from advancing
Yeah. England is going to need a result in that game unless Wales tied Iran. They might not need to pour it on but they’re not going to want to risk a loss and a runner up spot. Meanwhile Iran might be eliminated already when we play them. Good point. I know Iran was hot garbage today but I'm writing 3 points in for Wales just yet. That said Iran might be eliminated by the time we play them but I'm sure they will be motivated to knock us out of the tournament. Again.
Yes and hope that England cares enough about sharing an island with Wales to play it straight up with their full roster. At the very least anyone with a yellow for England won't be playing. No yellows for them today which I guess is a good thing
Wales packing it in. I know they are more of a counter team that doesn't focus on possession but seems like they are playing for a draw right off the bat.
Not particularly inspiring to see Michigan notch 5 and 4 point wins over Eastern Michigan and Ohio while getting blown out by 25 to ASU. 3 of Michigan's next 6 games are against Top 15 teams (Virginia, neutral vs Kentucky, at UNC) so this could get ugly in a hurry. Or they are mostly very inexperienced players that are trying to figure it out and they might.
