LOL I'm 3-3 and in 6th place (8 teams make playoffs) and scored the 7th most points out of 12 teams, but have struggled mightily losing Javonte and Penny to injuries. The worst part is that I spent all week before Penny's injury debating whether to pick up Kenneth Walker as insurance, but we only have 4 bench spots so its usually difficult to hang on to a handcuff especially with bye weeks starting. Of course I didn't and of course Penny got hurt and now someone else gets to enjoy walker. My RBs this week with a Sanders bye are Barkley, Latavius Murray and Rachaad White. WRs with Jefferson and Brown on byes are Adams, Drake London, Garrett Wilson and Wan'Dale Robinson. So I'm basically 3-4 Edit: Also, someone had to drop Cordarrelle Patterson when he went on IR (we don't have IR spots), so I am trying to play with a 3 man bench until he's healthy

Here is his fWAR the last 5 seasons: 2.5 2.0 0.3 2.8 2.7 It looks like 2020 is a clear outlier and that his performance only improved marginally since leaving the Cubs. Or I guess you could argue he was on a clear decline with the Cubs and then Washington saved him lol. I mean, 2020 is a clear outlier because fWAR is an accumulative stat and there were about 1/3 of the games that season. Right so he's 0.9 wins roughly over the full season. Still an outlier, possibly due to the weirdness of the pandemic season. Javy and KB also had really poor years (as well as stars on other teams like Arenado). They both bounced back at least somewhat the next year.

He apparently had accuracy issues last year too (based on PFFs "inaccurate and uncatchable" metric). But Lamar is right there with him along with his rookie counterparts. So I don't think it's necessarily a deal killer. This year he is "far and away" worst, but I can't find where they actually track that data on PFF, I'm guessing it's just an input into the grade and not a input I can pull. I haven't dug into last year's numbers but presumably just a change in the split of targeted depth could move it from "bad" to "in your own territory" without changing relative accuracy. Or may be a little of both, but on the accuracy front, we're talking about maybe 2 better throws a game to bring up the average. Re: Lamar, he seems to have a nice balance of designed runs and throws. I can only remember a handful of designed Fields runs at most this year, and I don't think any of them have gotten any large gains. Wonder why they are trying to design more runs for him? I guess they are trying to get him to unlock his passing potential but I also feel like it might be a little bit easier if there was more of a threat of him running on non-scrambles

Last full season. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal to ignore a weird pandemic shortened 60 game season especially when it was an outlier compared to the rest of his career. I'm not trying to relitigate the actual decision to keep Schwarber or claim his 2020 was absolute proof of his level at the time, but in the context of being surprised at the claim that Washington 'fixed' him, it definitely matters that he was near replacement level in 2020. Yeah I can’t find the tweet now but I saw yesterday that Fields has completed more 10+ yard passes then under 10 yard passes which is completely unheard of

During game 4, they said Tito said it wasn't fair to Bieber to put that strain on him because he's young and has many years ahead of him. But that was talking about him pitching in relief on 2 days rest. Supposedly he was available in relief today (3 days rest) but I guess not used because they were down 3-0 in the 1st inning.

How much of that is "I'm throwing out of bounds because I'm running for my life and don't want to get annihilated again." Has he really had that many throwaways? I feel like most "running for my life" situations have ended in a scramble or a sack. I could be wrong though.

This was one of like 4 Bears games I've been to. It was like 10 degrees that day and that ending made it an absolutely awful afternoon. I went to the NFC championship game in 2011 (2010 season). I managed to find a single ticket during the week that popped up on Ticketmaster so I went alone. I ended up literally boxed in by Packers fans. Almost my entire row and the rows in front and in back of me were all Packers fans. What a miserable experience it was, though they mostly left me alone.

I thought the word was that LaVines knee was all healed up. A bit surprising and concerning to see him on the injury report for the first game of the season even if he’s likely going to play. In other news, Patrick Williams will be the starting PF tomorrow

It's sad that I can remember almost all of these games and the reasons they were considered crazy losses (Moving from left to right) 1. Double Doink 2. 4th and long 45 yard TD pass from Rodgers to Cobb to win division over Bears 3. Trestman has Gould kick long FG on 2nd down in OT and he misses 4. Barber running out of bounds; Tebow time 5. Blew 20-3 lead with doped up Rodgers returning from injury to beat Bears 6. Packers score TD on 6 of their 7 first half drives. The one they didn't score a TD on they lost a fumble inside the Bears 10 yard line 7. Bears fail to score points on 3 drives inside the Washington 10 and 2 drives inside the 1, lose by an inch on 4th and goal 8. This one I'm not 100% about, I'm guessing this is the game Fox challenged a call that would have given them a TD rather than 1st and goal from the 1 inch line, and he ended up winning the challenge but the result was the Packers getting the ball 9. Russell Wilson drove down the field and scored TDs at the end of regulation and then OT to beat the Bears. 10. That ugly TNF opener after the 2018 division champs season 11. Fields first start with record breaking levels of anemic offense 12. After Cutler's injury, the Bears had several chances to score but couldn't. The GW touchdown was scored on a hail mary at the end of the 1st half 13. I can't remember why this one is considered crazy. It was Kaepernick's first start and no one thought he was good so it was surprising that he crushed us, but the Bears were starting Jason Campbell that day so its not like we should have expected to win 14. I don't remember anything too crazy here other than this being the game where Rodgers told Bears fans he owns us 15. Playoff loss; dropped TD, Trubisky NVP 16. Bears lose on 5 Gould FGs 17. Bears needed to win to clinch a playoff spot in week 16 and avoid having to beat Packers to get in. Eagles were still in the playoff hunt but it was already determined that this game had no meaning for them as Week 17 would solely decide whether they made the playoffs. With almost everything on the line for the Bears and absolutely nothing for the Eagles they got throttled 18. London game that everyone expected the Bears to win and they didn't. 19. Big FA disappointment tears his ACL while celebrating his first sack of the season in mid-October, which was against the Patriots backup in garbage time of a blowout. 20. Bears blow a 10 point lead with 3 minutes left and lose in regulation Yes I'm very bored at work

I wasn't going to watch any of these videos this week but I guess I am now. I would say it was his complaint coming out of college and its still a problem in his 2nd season so it should be pretty concerning at this point. Are there any examples of players who overcame a clear inability to process/throw the ball on time?

He doesn't have a resume of success I'm not talking about the decision to cut him, I'm talking about the decision to list all the ways he fucked up over the last 2 weeks on the official team press release announcing the move.
