  1. Ok so the Bears bring in our Zappe now right?
  2. To get others open? They throw like 12 times a game. Drake London is in same situation. Top 10 pick talent, nextgen shows his route running is elite but he gets 2-3 targets a game. Yesterday they were down 21-0 early and it was the optimal scenario for lots of passing but I think Mariota threw 16 times. No one is catching balls in that office. But your general point stands. Would be cool to get him
  3. I’ve done the same thing. Only reason I’ve thought about it is the number of Boston fans I know. I’m not “out” on fields or whatever but I’ve lost a lot of the emotion of caring how he looks week to week. Don’t get me wrong I’ll be watching and hoping he does well but it’s not stressing me out before games anymore
  4. Not sure what to make of this
  5. Bears/Patriots quirk: This is only the 5th time the Bears have faced the Patriots in New England. The Bears have never beaten the Patriots in New England. The Bears and Patriots have been in the NFL together since 1970. The first 4 times the teams played (1973, 1979, 1982 and 1985) were all in Chicago. When the Bears played the Patriots in Super Bowl XX, it was the first time they played a Patriots team wearing their home jerseys. They did not end up playing their first game in New England until 1988. After 88, then 97, 06, 14 and now 22. To compare with another AFC team, the Bears have been the road team against the Raiders 4 times since 2007, though one was in London, and the team relocated in the middle so 2 were in Oakland, 1 London, 1 Las Vegas.
  6. It's a superflex league and 6 of my top 8 players are on bye or have been injured recently (Jefferson, AJ Brown, Miles Sanders, Patterson, Javonte, Penny). But cant use that excuse for QB, I gambled on Fields before the season as my QB2 and it has not worked out and a better option hasn't come around due to how deep the league is. I feel like Fields isn't a terrible fantasy option. 47 rushing yards or more in 4 straight games. I mean, if you're starting 2 QBs, he's in the top 24. I have a league where Tom Brady is my QB1 and Mariota QB2. I'm hoping I can get Tua on waivers....that's how bad my team is. **Though I did score the 2nd most points this week and lose by 3.5 points (thanks to 2 late INTs for the Miami D, effing Kenny Pickett)** He's actually QB24 for the season in my league, so basically the lowest possible QB2 you can start in my league (though skewed by other QBs ahead f him having 7 games played). His point totals by week: 18, 9, 5, 10, 19, 20. The problem is that its a 6pt passing TD league and he only has 4 this year, so when comparing him to other QBs who actually throw TDs he looks worse off. The running obviously helps salvage a lot of his performances but he's not getting a lot of rushing TDs either. As for tonight, the Patriots under BB have historically struggled to contain running QBs. However, I think they are going to sell out to contain him knowing that he won't beat them consistently with his arm. If that happens, it might be tough for him to get a ton of points tonight.
  7. Obviously you have stars on every other slot on the roster.
  8. I need Justin Fields to outscore Mac by 4.84 points to win my fantasy week. Which tells you all you need to know about the state of my fantasy team.
  9. I don't even remember him throwing multiple TDs in a game, but I guess it happened in the SF game and against GB last year. I'm really not looking forward to watching this one though feel obligated because there are only 17 of these a year. I've been dealing with the flu for the last couple of days so I may just peace out if its looking bad early.
  10. This is only the 2nd time since 2002 that both LCS series ended in 4 or 5 games. The last time it happened was 2014.
  11. Phillies and Astros really going to make it so we have to wait for Friday for more baseball
  12. Also, there is no defensible reason to sac bunt there but also you are setting up Austin Nola as the guy that needs to get a hit to save your season. Nola had a .650 OPS this year and was hitting .053 in the playoffs. It’s not like you had Juan Soto due up.
  13. Yuck. Remind me again why we didn’t get a shooter or a defensive player in the offseason? Oh yeah…
  14. I can’t be the only one that held my breath when the entire team fell on top of him
  15. Holy crap that's really THE Kevin White? I saw when checking the score that a K White had a long catch and the thought briefly crossed my mind but figured it was too common of a name and our Kevin White was surely out of the league.
  16. Elijah Moore apparently requested a trade from the Jets today. Doesn’t look like they are going to honor it but man would I love to add him to the Bears
  17. Possible. From what I've read they always expected LaVine to miss the first 2 games and make his season debut on Saturday at the UC. We'll see if that is what ultimately happens. I think it's going to be an issue all year though off and on, and we'll possibly be getting the much less effective version of Zach that we saw in the 2nd half last year
  18. Yeah, I wasn’t paying attention. These days, that quote wouldn’t have surprised me from a pro athlete. Yeah there's an entire trend of twitter of these accounts tweeting out graphics like this with ridiculous quotes attributed to NBA players. Don't worry, major media outlets like ESPN have been duped by these accounts in the past.
  19. The NBA would be infinitely more entertaining if quotes like this were real.
  20. It’s only year 2, but he already has to be considered one of the biggest League-wide scouting whiffs in modern NBA history. 2nd rounders who exceed expectations tend to fall into one of three categories: 1. Undersized try-hard bigs - Draymond Green. 2. Small tweener guards - usually seniors from elite college programs - that shoot the lights out - Jalen Brunson. 3. Euros who were clearly under scouted - Jokic. Ayo doesn’t fit any of those categories. Generally guys of his size, skill set and college pedigree are either lottery picks or have some sort of fatal flaw to their game that keeps them off the NBA floor. I have to wonder if he was still suffering from concussion issues during the pre-draft workouts. In terms of 2nd round picks he reminds me of Gilbert Arenas. Both 6'4" guards leaving notable college programs early (Arizona and Illinois), projected to be late-teens to end of 1st round picks but dropped into 2nd round. I know their games aren't perfectly similar but their stats were actually similar their rookie year. Areans made a jump his 2nd year and then bolted to Washington where he continued to improve into an All-Star.
  21. Always cracks me up when Belichick does this with bad teams. Love the fact that he brought up how dangerous Velus Jones is in the return game 4 different times.
  22. Could be complete BS but
  23. I wish he was 27 years old so badly.
