lol that Yelich DP was hit 107.8 mph and had an xBA of .600 -
Just want to say that it makes me irrationally happy seeing Kyle f'ing Hendricks, 2016 Game 7 starter still pitching and winning big games for the Cubs in 2023 with literally every other player from that team long gone. Edit: I realize he didnt get the win today but he's a huge reason we won.

I've been banging that drum for awhile though I questioned it a bit at times. I think there's value to Hendricks in the clubhouse too and working with the other pitchers. I don't want to pick it up if its going to make it difficult to sign Belli or another high profile FA, but there's definitely worse things you can spend $16 million on.

Knew the bunt was coming. One of the few situations where I dont *hate* a bunt but dont love either with Happ on deck. Also never having a sacrifice bunt before is concerning

Also with Merryweather, Leiter and Adbert burned (after the 9th), the options for pen guys after that get scary.

Yeah and the Brewers had a bunch of lefties coming up. I didn't hate the decision though I can understand why you'd stick with Merryweather as well as he's pitched lately and an off day tomorrow.
