Yeah I know people have made fun of me for this for years and I’m not really sure why I do it, I’ve thought about what value it brings but i can’t help myself.

Dansby now 1 for his last 17. can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a slump quite this long (way beyond the last 17) from a quality hitter. His BA for the season is about to dip into the .230s

Id like to see what an anti-slump lineup looks like. Sure maybe no Morel, maybe you give Candy a breather and start Madrigal at 3rd, but then you either have Wisdom at first or Tauchman in CF. Dansby pretty much has to play due to his defense. The team is just going to have to figure it out. Teams slump during a season and then they don't. There's no advice that you and I can give to get them out of the slump, they need to continue working behind the scenes and find their way out of it.

I dont think anyone was that bad either. He was jumping on someone for pointing out Alzolay blew back to back save opportunities like that poster was suggesting Adbert be DFAed. Just some venting from a gut punch loss.

I’m confident all of them will hit again this year. Well maybe not Tauchman but the rest. I’d just like to see it soon. I knew Swanson was streaky but I didn’t think he’d have entire months with a sub .500 OPS. Candelarios slump is much shorter and he’s still walking but 2-29 is pretty bad. Hope he works out of it quickly. Morel mostly just looks lost up there and it’s upsetting but I’m sure he’ll figure it out at some point

Dude if you don’t know that a game thread is an emotional release after a gut punch loss after all the time on this forum I don’t know what to tell you. Almost everyone upset will be perfectly logical in about 20 minutes

I know right? Shouldn’t be that upset about splitting a double header but leading almost all game and getting such great pitching from Wesneski, the big K from Leiter, all felt like a win until it wasnt

Gotta do better than 5 total hits in a bullpen game. Candelario, Tauchman and Swanson have to get out of their slumps.

Crazy you pitch such a perfect game and you get to 2 outs away from stealing it and just like that it’s tied.
