If the Cubs went after Nomar, it would be a disaster. Nomar has all the leverage there. It seems like every team in baseball has been interested in Nomar right now, plus the fact that the Cubs basically chose Furcal over Nomar and pushed him to the curve. To resign Nomar we'd have to pay him for at least a 3 year deal at $10 million per. You might think I'm crazy, but remember, the Cubs (if they went after Nomar) would need Nomar a lot more then Nomar needs the Cubs.
