  1. Did anyone hear AJs and Barretts comments AJ said he was simply trying to grab his helmet, and thought Barrett was approaching him to ask him if he was ok (and AJ was going to ask the same) when he got punched. I doubt thats true Barrett said he had no idea why AJ was approaching him, and if he just walked to his dugout, nothing would have happened.
  2. Took him long enough
  3. http://www.chicagotribune.com/media/photo/2006-05/23524917.jpg Meh, I guess this disproves that. It's clearly towards the Cubs dugout
  4. They mentioned that on Fox too, but it was diffuted because they saw his helmet between home and the Sox dugout apparently.
  5. Testing my new sig. I wasn't really in favor of the blow, but damn it makes for good pictures.
  6. He provides more then Neifi and Bynum just because of his catching skills. But he's pretty pretty bad right now at the plate
  7. 1) Yes 2) Yeah, so that helps his cause. 3) Thats a completely clean play. He has every right to blow into Barrett if hes blocking the plate trying to catch the ball 4) Yeah, he is 5) In my eyes, heros in baseball are those who decide wins and losses. Not only did the fight fire up the White Sox and not the Cubs, but the two Cubs that replaced Barrett and Mabry hit into 2 DPs. 6) Yup, probably at least 7 games, likely 9-10...but it doesn't matter, the Cubs suck anyways. Just gives them more excuses 7) Glad I don't goto HS anymore lol[/b]
  8. Bad apples in their own clubhouse yes. I doubt team chemistry will go down because of Barrett's actions. The guy on Fox just said he thinks Barrett will be out 10 games for that.
  9. If anyone's getting hit it's a Cub. Pierzynski shouldn't have even been ejected, he did nothing wrong, and if you think he did than you don't know baseball. Hard to take offense over someone raising his hands when Zambrano acts like a fool after every strikeout. Go away. I actually agree with much of what he said. It's hard to get upset over someone slapping home plate when they score when Zambrano dances around whenever he strikes someone out
  10. Meh, I'm resigned to the fate of this franchise. At least we get cool stuff like corked bats and sucker punches once in awhile.
  11. It's a proven fact that the Cubs higher ups believe every excuse that is given by their subordinates.
  12. Why would you never trade ARam? He's slow, he is very streaky, he gets injured a lot, is constantly getting small injuries that limit his ability, and he has dodged accusations of dogging it, going back to his Pittsburgh days.
  13. The next Cubs game I goto, if I go to another one. I am going to bring a sign that says simply "DO SOMETHING" Think about it, it works on so many levels.
  14. As no one gets fired and the team decides to trade Carlos Zambrano for Melyk Cabrera. "The kid can catch the ball. And he can hit too. I'm just suprised, I didn't realize that the Marlins traded him to the Yankees, and that the Yankees wanted to get rid of him so quickly."
  15. It'd be even funnier if he got a concussion out of the collision...or broke his hand when he slammed it on home plate. wow
  16. The only "fire" that this brawl will lead to is a Fire Sale, after the Cubs offense gets worse by missing Barrett for 10 games and goes 0-10
  17. 1 hit in his last 1 ABs! Hitting 1.000 with a 1.000 OBP and a 1.000 SLG, with a 2.000 OPS during that time span
  18. I doubt it. Why ruin a perfect game with a HBP?
  19. Everytime they say the Cubs are in great position to do something, they fail at it. Wow, Hairston had the hardest hit ball of the game.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctsYoWLgtuY Did anyone post that yet?
  21. I don't know if I've ever seen a team with this high a payroll get their brains beat in almost every day and not see ANYONE get fired.
  22. Haha anyone want to get the Reds number and pretend they are Hendry and ask if that Hill for Dunn trade is still available?
