  1. Well its the time of year again. Here is a timeline of ticket related events this week Wednesday 2/22 - Wristbands will be distributed from 11AM - 10PM Thursday 2/23 - Wristbands will be distributed from 7AM - 10PM Friday 2/24 - -6:00AM - Winning wristband number is announced on WGN 720 -8:00AM - Tickets go on sale at Wrigley Field -10:00AM - Tickets go on sale online and through 1-800-THE-CUBS (1-866-652-2827 for out of state residents) -10:30AM - White Sox series likely sold out Saturday 2/25 - Tickets go on sale at Tickets.com outlets such as the Chicagoland Sports Authority Stores and the Tribune Store (located at 435 N. Michigan Ave) So in the interim, the topic will be: who is planning on getting wristbands, what games are people trying to get tickets for, what do you think will be the most popular series this year with no major series (other then the White Sox) jumping out (a la Red Sox last year) I'll be getting my wristband, hoping to get within 500 of the winning number like last year. In what may be unpopular to some here, I plan on buying my max share of tickets, and sell some of them to break even with the games I plan to goto. My target series are in Cards series (especially April), SF series in September (history in the making?) and of course the White Sox series.
  2. You mean 2003? (For the most part)
  3. Ahh the annual Prior Spring Training injury...good times
  4. Here's one person hoping he doesnt break the record
  5. All I want to know is where all these White Sox fans came from? (i.e. Davis)
  6. Are we due for the 2006 Injury Update Thread? I'm not touching that this year for fear of being lynched by this board
  7. Sounds like a fun way to kick off spring training!
  8. Downright blasphemous. Especially if there are playoff implications. Im sure the Sox get WGN that day
  9. Yup, they also led by 33, which was the final margin in the game :D:D
  10. Must be going for the David Wells look. Actually this isn't funny, plz don't show up to camp overweight.
  11. A 3-3 tie. USA dominated the last 10 minutes of the game, but had nothing to show for it. Kinda crappy start to the hockey tournament...
  12. I'm more upset at the "restaurant" that turned into a "luxury box" then any knothole. Furthermore, the reasoning MacPhail and Co. gave for the expansion back in 2001 when it was first proposed was because it was being done so that more Cubs fans would get a chance to see the game and so they wouldnt have to keep jacking up prices. This offseason, they added 1,800 new seats and raised ticket prices by 20% I think, plus added $60 seats that they didnt have before and added a 75-100 person luxury box in RF. I still love the Cubs the team, but the organization is as classless as they come, and I'd love for someone to prove me wrong.

What if we got the #1 and #2 picks this year? That would be...interesting.
  14. Sox fans hate the Cubs more then they hate nonviolent marriges and neatly trimmed neck hair. Ooooo I went there
  15. How long after reporting do selected players leave to train for the WBC? Anyone know?
  16. I know if the Cubs won the WS ever, I'd go right back to complaining the first loss of the next season. I'm just not a very content sports fan. Being in Red Sox nation for 6 years and then this, I'm sick of hearing about these "what would you dos" just go out there and freakin do it.
  17. Yeah the Bulls are sorry indeed. Looks like the Cavs are finally going to get to the playoffs!
  18. My Bulls frustrations have reached a critical point
  19. As the resident Michigan fan on this forum, my response to today's game is...... no comment. All I gotta say is Iowa is incredible at home. Iowa outshot Michigan 65% - 40% and was 14-20 on 3's. Wow
  20. I am a reasonably educated and pretty classy Cubs fan, but I see no harm in wearing a Cards suck shirt. Plain and simple, I don't like the Cardinals and I want them to lose every game, so why not wear a shirt that shows my feelings. I don't particularly like the shirts that take it a step further (although shirts like "Jeter drinks wine coolers" are sometimes hilarious), but I don't see anything wrong with wearing a "Cardinals Suck" shirt to a Cubs/Cards game. BTW, if you goto Wrigley on game day of a Cubs/Cards tilt, you'll find several of those shirts. I bought a "St. Louis sucks" shirt from a guy for $5.
  21. If I've said it once, I've said it 100 times, the Cardinals are a classless organization. (Only kidding Cards fans)
  22. Eh, I look forward to the spring games too, but for some reason I usually can't sit through an entire game. Probably because I know that there is almost no relevence between Spring performance and regular season performance.
  23. Maybe they have a top secret player from Afghanastan that they don't want the public to know about
  24. Michigan sneaks out a road win vs. Penn State. I know Penn State's record is bad, but they aren't that bad, and regardless I'll take ANY road win in the Big 10. So far at Minnesota and at Penn State is all we got. Hopefully we can solve Iowa in Iowa City this weekend.
