I'm guessing this means Barrett's appeal is done and he will start serving today... Actually, ESPN said that he tweaked his back (or groin?) in yesterday's game and that's why he's sitting. question: Can he just start serving his suspension now, and still continue with the appeal? Or retroactive his start date to today if he doesn't play between now and his appeal? I highly doubt it, but am just hoping we don't have to suffer even more Barrett less lineups. Nah I don't think so. I refer to the Kerry Wood suspension in 2004 when the Cubs tried to pass off his time on the DL as him serving the suspension and the MLB picked up on that right away.

I can't believe that Jim Hendry turned this team from a World Series contender with a young talented core into a 100 loss team (the first since 1966) in just 3 years. Good work loser. -
