  1. Tank will obviously start for Scott. Time to see our supposed depth on the DLine
  2. Whaaaa? that cant be true, Lovie said Ogunleye would be playing. Scott I had no clue about. Who is going to start on the front 4 then? Brown, Harris, Anderson, Tank?
  3. No Neifi appearences in round one makes me a sad panda
  4. It's really hard to say goodbye to Briggs but I agree. Likable guy and anchor to the D, but we can't be paying 2 of our linebackers the type of money that we're paying Urlacher. Angelo has been pretty good getting LBs in the draft and I have no doubt he can find another one this offseason.
  5. Exactly. If they are gonna spend all that money, get 4 #1 starters. You can assemble the best offensive lineup in baseball, but on any given night they can get shut down by good pitching, its that simple. I don't think they realize that if they had 4 #1 starters they would easily win the WS most years.
  6. The problem is that JH likes guys that can catch the ball, not guys who can range over to the ball or throw the ball.
  7. Anyone think that the Yankees overspending brings them to their downfall every year? Pitching wins in October and the hardest thing to get through FA is probably pitching. The only pitchers that the Yankees can get their hands on are past their prime pitchers like Randy Johnson and Kevin Brown. The majority of the teams that have great pitching bring them up through their farm system. The Yankees can't do that because they are always trading away the farm. The cycle shows itself every year when the Yankees bats can't score runs, and the pitching can't stop the other team.
  8. You guys are serious aren't you? One can hope, right? Besides, if McDonough is that adamant about winning, you got to imagine he'll at least ask Hendry to pursue. Right? Right? There is no way we'd get ARod without Ramirez. The Yankees don't downgrade at positions and I don't see another 3B that can step in for the Yankees
  9. Man I have been cheering for ARod to do bad so he gets traded to the Cubs, but the more he screws up the less I want him. 2 out of the last 3 years his numbers have been only marginally better then ARam
  10. I had a dream that they lost, followed by a dream that they won. Strange but true. 2 night ago I had a dream that we lost too. Bad sign :( Rarely has a dream that I've had come true. Trust me on this. Otherwise I would be living a goooood life. Actually me too. I dreamed that the Bears beat Carolina in the playoffs last year. Oops
  11. I just don't think State is that good. Very true. The only thing Michigan can prove today is that they are bad if they let State make it close or heavens forbid lose today.
  12. I had a dream that they lost, followed by a dream that they won. Strange but true. 2 night ago I had a dream that we lost too. Bad sign :(
  13. I read somewhere that they have to choose their uniforms before the season. They usually choose white for the first home game of the season for weather reasons. But there is no reason to believe that they would expect early-to-mid october to be around 70
  14. Well I'm sure they could fare better than the 01' squad. I hate to use the term "fluke", but alot of things bounced their way in 01. Alot of things. 2001 WAS a fluke. Three consecutive losing seasons after that says it all. This team is the real thing. Seems like the 2001 team came together with a couple of FA veteran signings that luckily panned out. Ted Washington, Keith Traylor, etc. The rest was Rosie Colvin, Brian Urlacher, Mike Brown and an opportunistic secondary. As for the offense...well I have no idea how the offense put up as many points as they did. It was more of an above average defense and then a snowball effect of winning that got them success in 2001. In 2002, they had a shot to go back to the playoffs, but injuries absolutely killed them, as did having to play 8 games at UIUC. They started off 2-0, and then the wheels fell off completely.

chances of them all happening 1/10
  16. This is crazy...Comerica is rocking probably about as much as Wrigley was in 2003. Never thought a big spacious ballpark like that could rock so hard.
  17. I agree actually. McNabb has played unbelievable this season. The Eagles are a scary team and I would be worried if the Bears had to face them in the playoffs.

I don't want to hear about the Justin Verlander of 2003 any time soon.
  19. I will not go to a Cubs game next year if the Cubs hire Piniella, and I'd advise you all to do the same. What a stupid idiotic just pathetic organization.
  20. Given their current deals, who do you think could fetch more on the open market: DLee or ARod?
  21. I know that feeling. Whats the point if people aren't tryin to improve their teams and engaging in some light hearted trash talk. Try to spark something by engaging in trash talk around the office, make people care about their teams and maybe they will take pride in their place in the standings
  22. %#^#$(@! I hate baseball. Thank GOD for the Bears
  23. So far excluding the Tigers win today, the playoffs have gone exactly the opposite of how I've wanted them to go of course. Sometimes I wonder if baseball wants me to be a fan of it.
