  1. Bruce love the impromptu chat! Not directed at you necessarily, but answer if you wish. Vernon Wells...could it happen and what would it take?
  2. Bulls win 87-86!
  3. Haha, I thought you said Garnett was cut for some reason. I was like "sign him up!" Speaking of Garnett, with 4 SFs that look like they are going to deserve significant minutes, is it time to revisit a potential Garnett trade? How about Deng, Gordon, PJ Brown (expiring contract), 1st (top 8 protected) for Garnett. Yes thats a lot of talent to give up, and I'm not even sure it fits under the cap unless we sign Deng to an extension firstm but its worth thinking about. Why? Hinrich Thabo/Duhon Nocioni Garnett Wallace Bench Thabo/Duhon Griffin Thomas Khryapa Sweetney Allen That Marty guy Yes, our bench is weakened, but we have solid bench at the 3-4. With Garnett on the team, he can easily replace Gordon's scoring, and give us frontcount dominance, etc etc
  4. When I was out a bit earlier I was listening to B & B on 670, and someone called crying claiming to be Cory Lidle's first cousin, saying that Boers and Bernstein were making fun of Cory's death. The hosts did what they did best and deflect blame and claim that they were just stating facts. Did anyone else catch this today? (BTW, I love boers and bernstein, so my comments aren't of critical nature of them, but they do this sort of stuff a lot)
  5. His passport was found on the street, making it pretty obvious that he was the pilot of the plane.
  6. Man...the Yankees and plane crashes, I don't know what it is. ESPN says that they believe he was the only one on the plane and the other fatalities were in the apartment. Prayers go out to all.
  7. In case anyone wants to follow the Yankees fans take on this: http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?t=99635
  8. OMG!! Move to baseball transactions? If true, prayers go out to Cory's family
  9. 1 fatality reported by NYFD
  10. I think he's just keeping all his options open. At the same time, I think he wants to goto a team willing to spend $100 million to win. He is not looking for jobs like Washington, where the team isn't equipped to make a few moves and win now. Whereas the Cubs fave the financially ability to make those moves. Now if he can get on the same page as Jim Hendry as far as offseason acquisitions, then I think he'll be our manager.
  11. You're going to get on the media for "overreacting" to a plane crash in Manhattan? Good point, all indications make it obvious that its an accident. By overreaction I meant 9-11 level overreaction. But after reading your post, I guess no reaction is really overreaction when people are potentially dead or injured (not to mention its a freaking plane crash in freakin Manhattan)
  12. I posted this on a Bulls forum that I post at but I figured I'd pose the question here: Fun game: Take away the projected Bulls starting 5 of Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Brown, Wallace and take whats left and guess how many wins they would have over an NBA season Your Roster: C. Duhon, PG T. Sefalosia, SG A. Nocioni, SF T. Thomas, PF M. Sweetney, C Bench: A. Griffin, G-F A. Barrett, G (camp invitee) J. Varem, G-F (camp invitee) V. Khryapa, SF M. Allen, PF L. Schenscher, C M. Andriuskevicius, C Couldn't be any worse then the post-dynasty years could it?
  13. DePaul looking pretty good in the Big East. A young team who should get better this year. DePaul also got 2 top 40 recruits for next year and are in the running for the #3 prospect (on rivals) Rose. I am a Michigan and DePaul fan. It's really hard to be a Michigan fan after they started out 16-4 and ended up not making the tourney. I am not looking forward to another Michigan disapointment.
  14. Uh oh..wow its on CNN. Time for media overreaction
  15. Haha, this game thread is a lot longer then a lot of Cubs game threads this year.
  16. John Kruk just suggested that the Yankees should trade ARod to the Marlins.... Think about what you say for a second John.... The $25 million dollar man, traded to a team with a $15 million payroll and 8,000 fans a game...
  17. Look at the Cardinals results...you think their fans overrated Rolen (88 is by far the highest I've seen in my brief glances) and Edmonds (80)?
  18. He did sorta miss today...the refs just love the Bears so much. Did any announcers say anything on that. It looked liked it missed by a few feet. The camera angle that showed the FG made it look like it missed...the announcers seemed suprised that they called it good as well
  19. Haha, if Bonds goes to the Yankees, their new :20 minute programming lineup should be :00 Baseball tonight :20 Yankees tonight :40 Outside the Lines
  20. BTW, I am calling it, this Michigan actually winning all of the games they should BS is going to eventually stop...Michigan will lose to Penn State. I hate to say it because I love the maize and blue, but they just don't ever get to the OSU game unscathed anymore and if any team will do it, its gonna be PSU on the road. Edit: If Michigan wins their next 2 games, my optimism has no boundries so hurry up and lose before I get too high
  21. Looking forward to that big Michigan game coming up?
  22. He did sorta miss today...the refs just love the Bears so much.
  23. Please do not refer to them as the cutsie "Cards" If the Cubs were in the playoffs (hold on............hahahahahah ahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahaha) would the St. Louis (sorry....hahahahahahahahahahahaha) message boards have a game thread that says "Cubbies at (Team that will win dramatically on historic Cubs Miscue)"?
  24. Pictures http://peninsulaclarion.com/images/101501/CARDINALS_BEARSLR.jpg http://media.scout.com/Media/Image/34/348472.jpg Meh, pictures are bad but they are hard to find on Google image search if they aren't a division rival. Oh well, keeping the tradition alive.
  25. He wants to be here long term, I am 100% sure the Bulls value him enough to lock him up long term. I am 98% sure that the Bulls will resign him, my only concern is how much because I expect him to make a big leap this year. JUST DONT PUT ANY 2 YEAR OUT CLAUSES IN HIS CONTRACT JOHN!!
