    Come on now. He's an ace regardless of this one bad start. If anything, he's been the only consistent pitcher we've had. First 2 months consistently bad and last month and a half consistently good :lol: This game is definitely not over. That's what I'm saying. If he was solid over the first 2 months with a bad start spinkled in, thats one thing and I'd be willing to overlook a start like today. But when you put all his starts together for this year, his ERA is over 4 and his WHIP is over 1.40 (i think)

    Oh yes, it does. All runs in the inning are earned. Oh yeah tahts right, the error didnt allow a runner on. Well good then! I'm guessing Z's ERA is back over 4

    This is why it's hard to count on Z as your ace. He certainly has ace stuff and pitches like an ace at times. But othertimes hes so frustratingly inconsistant.

    Wow the Padres have been inquiring about everyone, Cub or not Cub. I think they really think (and rightly so) that this is the year to make a run for them. Maybe Towers though that the Barrett trade was a feeler trade to get the Cubs-Padres pipeline built.

    So how do we feel about Jones now? Especially since Pie and Pagan have been black holes over the past week or two save a few exceptions

    And for no reason during the White Sox game they decide to show an interview with Luis Castillo about Game 6, along with highlights and analysis. Now I remembered why I don't watch White Sox games.

    This game is like a kick in the balls...not only are the Cubs getting clobbered but my fantasy guy Jason Bay has pretty much ended every rally with an out and has looked lifeless at the plate.

    Derrek Lee has been pointless lately on offense

    so were the cubs. Not saying that we weren't hot, but our offense was slumping in that Nats series and a combo of decent pitching and a terrible Nats offense really kept us in a couple of those games.
