  1. What if they simply play it the rest of the way? 105-57
  2. If the Cubs played 19-5 ball all season, we'd finish 128-34.
  3. I would guess 1984. Went 20-5 for a stretch in May June of 2001. Good work
  4. +1 for the person who can tell me the last time the Cubs went 19-5 in a 24 game span.
  5. I'll cry happily if Ramirez somehow hit a HR.
  6. Yup with Jake Fox and Koyie Hill on the bench, we're sure to get back in it! (OK DeRosa and Floyd are in there, but they'll probably just ground out too)
  7. according to Sportsline: wonder why hes throwing to third
  8. We are making contact though, exactly what Lou wanted from this lineup, for some reason.
  9. Predictions for next inning? GB, GB, GB for me.
  10. To be fair, Livan Hernandez kills us too. At least we miss him. And we missed Noah Lowery in the Giants series...he would have killed us
  11. DFA Marquis and add a 4th lefty to the rotation!
  12. Wonder if Dempster would close today if the opportunity arises
  13. Will we ever gain any ground in the WC or division?
  14. Did anyone see this at the end of the MLB Trade Rumors post? http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2007/07/pirates-acquire.html
  15. This is today's winning post. PM your address and I'll get the Tom Goodwin card sent to you. What was this in reference to?
  16. and call up who  It was a joke  (but to play along, Matt Murton)
  17. As evidenced by his terrible record at closing games.
  18. 9-5, 0 outs, runners on first and second with Klesko up, Bonds due up 3rd.
  19. I've had a bad feeling all day about this game since it was 4-1.... I hope its not for a good reason.
  20. If I'm Soriano, I'm stealing second and going to third when Molina overthrows 2B and then scoring when the CF misplays the ball.
  21. Why the hell did he run the bases then? Wow, this coming from a fan of a team that has seen the likes of Kerry Wood, Mark Prior and Nomar Garciaparra play for them in the last 3 years, but Cliff Floyd is the most injury prone player I've ever seen.
  22. Sportsline.com's PBP is working for the Cubs game, but not the Brewers game. http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/gamecenter/live/MLB_20070719_SF@CHC
