  1. What does our offensive production have anything to do with QS's? The only reason Z came out after 5 IP was because of the 9-0 score. A pitcher has to go 6 innings with 3 or fewer runs to get a quality start. I guess next time Lou should tell his players to stop scoring so that Z can chase a meaningless statistic.
  2. The heart of the order is up with Hill
  3. You mean like leaving Prior in for over 120+ pitches with a 12-3 lead in Game 2 of the NLCS?? Notwithstanding your failure to get the facts right, that's the best example of Dusty's "leave em in with a big lead" strategy killing us. What is wrong with my facts. OK it was a 12-2 lead. But he came on and faced 2 batters in the 8th before Baker finally pulled him. If he didn't have 120 pitches he had more than 115, Im 99% sure.
  4. I'm sure he will. I bet the plan is to have Gallagher pitch the 6th and 7th with Eyre pitching the 8th and 9th and Petrick on call if either gives up like 3-4 runs.

  6. The Giants... BTW, I'm referring to the Giants need Kendall in the Cubs lineup
  7. For those that saw that hit. If Lee is the 1B, does Jones get a 2 RBI hit there?
  8. OK this is pathetic. I think we might get no hit
  9. Soriano is in a 1-14 slump right now.
  10. Yup, just like on Monday. Except the end of the inning occurred after 2 runs came home.
  11. I think Fontenot is 4-37 (.108) in July. I've learned not to be impatient but...
  12. This offense is going to do nothing against Cain.
  13. Or day after night game... Kendall ususally plays 145-150 games per year. The most Barrett has played is 134. He doesn't sit many games, even day after nights.
  14. Yay no Kendall = we win! Apparently Z really likes pitching to Koyie Hill
  15. Please recap for those at work!
  16. Just a note, Fontenot is hitting .156/.156/.156 in July in 32 ABs. Hopefully the Cubs exercise the same patience that Theriot was given when he cooled off. Theriot was .224/.272/.276 in June and now is hitting .455/.526/.667 in July
  17. Any word on the impending roster move. 90% likely Soto gets sent down.
  18. If we played at the same pace we've played since June 5th (26-12) for the rest of the season, we'd end up 97-65
  19. Except Kendall has a track record of being solid in the past and Izzy had no such thing
