  1. I bet it's decent as Santo usually sings in non-marquee games where they can't get a celeb, so its usually against bad teams. However, this isn't always the case
  2. This quote in the Suntimes made me laugh Haha, nice move trying to dump him off on the Cards or Brewers
  3. I wanted to post this early because I am excited at the thought of Webb and his 42 straight scoreless innings going against the Brew Crew Brewers (Suppan 4.89 ERA) @ Diamondbacks (Webb 2.63) - 8:40 CST Marlins (Olsen 5.25) @ Cardinals (Looper 4.98) - 7:10 CST NL Central Standings Chicago 64-60 --- Milwaukee 65-61 --- St. Louis 60-62 3.0
  4. Wow I remember the 2004 and 2005 Cubs having trouble fielding bunts and going to the right base. Good to see things haven't changed over the years.
  5. Anyone like this matchup between Rich Hill and the pitcher he is most compared to
  6. Wow so I turned this game off after the top of the 8th because every time I watched the Cubs hit in the game it was making me more and more agitated. When I got up, I didn't bother to check the score because I figured it was unlikely that we scored, and I didn't want to ruin my morning. On a whim, I decided to check the score, but the way I checked it was by reading the game thread from the point I left off at. What an exciting way to read an exciting finish. I guess the lesson is to never give up on the team again!
  7. I'm turning this game off. I know the outcome already. Unbelievable pitching performance by Lincecum. Goodnight
  8. Mil -- Chi 1 Stl 3 Way things are looking tonight
  9. Darn, I was hoping Vizquel would throw him out so it would be 12 pitches for 6 outs
  10. So not only is Lincecum going to pitch a perfect game, but because of the Cubs impatient style, he is going going to record a strikeout, screwing over my fantasy team.
  11. Cedeno during his recent callup: 3-20, 0 XBH, 2 RBI, 1 BB
  12. A dynasty? You mean multiple championships?
  13. I don't think so unless some tinkering is done. I think the cap is pretty much hit on payroll especially with new ownership, so we really have to rely on young talent coming up. I think the Brewers, realizing how close they are, will make a splash in FA to improve their team, and the Cardinals will always be there. I just don't see it unless the division plays down to this level.
  14. Gosh our second best pitcher against their converted starter and we lost. Baseball is a funny game.
  15. Wow took a total of 16 pitches to get the last 6 Cubs outs.
  16. Yeah come out hacking Murton. You idiot
  17. Why the hell is he swinging on a 2-0 count???
  18. Meaning that they will both K looking
  19. 3 of Ramirez's 4 ABs have been the 1 pitch variety
  20. Somehow he managed to face 4 batters, give up a walk and a single but only throw 9 pitches. Again, what are they in a hurry for
  21. At the very least lets not make the 9th be Murton, Kendall, PH
