Yeah, I love sports. Hockey on the TV, baseball on the computer. I think the Cubs tie it soon. It seems like we are hitting the ball hard, and eventually a ball will sneak into PETCO's cavernous outfield. Yeah this pitcher doesnt really look like he's settling down at all. Z!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, he's making a run for the silver slugger. Micah who?

Bad? DeRosa I believe is hitting over .300, Edmonds is heating up big time, and Blanco is the backup catcher.

It wouldn't have been a force out thus meaning the run would have counted. Not 100% sure that is correct, but pretty positive, someone help me on this? Yes, as long as the run crossed home plate before the tag was applied, the run counts. My bad, I didn't consider that scenario.

They are playing 2 games above their pythag pace, while we're playing 3 games under, so we got that going for us. How different would we feel if these were the standings: Cubs 39-18 -- Cards 32-26 7.5

I believe we have faced Hamels 3 times in his career. Once in 2006 we lit him up like an XMas tree, and he didn't lost too long. The last two times, he's pretty much had his way with us, once at Wrigley last year, and once at Citizens Bank in April.

I would love to face them in the NLCS again I'd love to face anyone in the NLCS again :) Goodness that would bring back some bad memories. The masochist in me wants to face the Cardinals. The stathead in me wants the Phillies (lefty starters, low-K pitching staff). I wouldn't want to face the Phillies in a 5 game series just because of Cole Hamels. A 7 game series and we are talking.

To be honest, the Cubs miss both Peavy and Young in this series, so..... Because of injury, not because the 3 game series happens to roll over the wrong part of the rotation. But it is a valid point.

Brewers. Meh. I think he means that team with a 120-119 Pythagorean record over the last two seasons, including 27-30 this season. And yet, they have enough talent and resources to make a run. Who said that their talent was playing at full potential the last season and a half.

Actually look at the Cubs pitching as a whole for May. Cubs rankings: Hits: 17th BB: 17th K: 3rd BAA: 6th ERA: 3rd (3.30) That's kind of bizarre to have a WHIP as high as the Cubs did and have the 3rd best ERA for the month.

Wow our Bullpen and top 2 starters were awesome. Our 3-5 starters and long reliever sucked.

I just realized that the Brewers have a 3 game set against the DBacks this week. The only 2 starters that they don't face in the series: Brandon Webb and Dan Haren. WTH?

I think that if the Cubs had held on to win all 6 of these games for a 42-15 record, I'm not sure I'd be able to handle that. I don't think I'd be able to handle the fact that the Cubs had a 23 game winning streak! What's more, check the games before that. The Cubs have really played 5 games all year that they lost by more than 3 runs. And in two of those, it was still within 3 runs by the 7th inning. There have been few times that the Cubs really never had a shot. So if the Cubs record was 52-5, or 54-3, people could finally say that we are the luckiest team ever!

fixed Sorry, 3 Pads, 4 Dodgers. I dont know though, records may say otherwise, but on paper, without Peavy and Young, its hard to imagine a worse team than the Pads. I don't trust this series because I don't trust Petco Park
