  1. Can anyone name the Cardinals rotation right now? Wellemeyer Loshe Looper Boggs Parisi And they don't even miss a freaking beat
  2. fortunately this is still the cardinals' roster That argument hasn't worked all year, sorry.
  3. I thought these guys were supposed to be bad on the road.
  4. So...we're going to have horrible umping tonight I see
  5. 5-0 Cardinals. Ryan Ludwick popped it up behind the backstop. Unfortunately a hurricane randomly appeared momentarily above Cincinnati and a 400 MPH wind gust pushed it just over the fence for a home run. Edit: I'm just kidding, he doubled home a run i think
  6. He would also be demoted the next day and maintain his current level of suckatude in AAA right?
  7. C'mon guys, you were seriously expecting the Cardinals to lose a Mitchell Boggs start?
  8. Cardinals up 4-0. Some guy named Boggs is pitching for the Cardinals and is pitching a 1 hit shutout through 3 innings.
  9. I lost $300 on blackjack, broke even at the sportsbook. So it could have been worse :) For the record, I did not bet on or against the Cubs :)
  10. I know I shouldn't be worried about the White Sox, but I really am starting to think that they are the best team in Chicago. Someone talk me off the cliff.
  11. My rankings would be something like 1. Boston Red Sox 2. Philadelphia Phillies 3. Chicago Cubs 4. Chicago White Sox 5. Los Angeles Angels 6. Milwaukee Brewers 7. New York Yankees 8. Arizona Diamondbacks 9. Atlanta Braves 10. Oakland A's
  12. Geo is now up about 400,000 votes now, and Kosuke and Soriano have maintained their leads as well. Funny that the more Geo slumps, the bigger his lead gets.
  13. ^ We missed the playoffs by 3 games in 2004, but point taken.
  14. and how does their success with Rolen, Edmonds playing at near MVP levels and Carpenter pre-TJS have any bearing on the present? if this was any other team, people could objectively realize that they're playing over their heads but the inferiority complex so prevalent precludes people from recognizing this. And Kyle is pointing out why there is an inferiority complex. Historically they have been better. This year when we have gotten out to a historically hot start (for us) a team full of rejects and scrap metal has come together and is only 2.5 games behind us.
  15. It is. How? They will just bring someone else up that will pitch just as well. And if he doesn't becuase Wainwright is their only legit starter, the rest of the team will still fluke their way into winning ball games. Net effect on the Cubs: 0 It would've been easier if you had said something irrational like "the Cardinals are going to win 100 games no matter who's on the roster" to begin with. I know, I just wanted to bait someone. Sorry it had to be you ;)

  17. Yes, teams usually bring up lots of minor leaguers for the HOF game. Someone like Hart will start the game, and the other 8 regulars will play 1 inning. Then the young players come in and play the rest of the game.
