  1. your like-o-meter didn't go up when he hit the game tying homer in the ninth?? Hmm...maybe I should change it. I was toying with never making it go about 0%, but he's actually been quite good lately. Maybe he'll go up to 1% or so.
  2. Anyone know whether the dome plays better offensively with the roof open or closed?
  3. Devon White flew out to the warning track?
  4. I want to see this happen as well. I remember a couple starts ago they were saying Larry has been working with him because its been taking him 2-3 innings to ramp up and start throwing in the low 90s. In the first few innings, his velocity is way down and his pitches aren't as sharp. His last couple of starts have reflected that as well.
  5. BUT REED HAZ POWAH. I SEEN HIM DONE HIT THREE WHOLE HOME RUNZ. And two against righties. And even with those 2 HRs, his SLG against righties is just .330 His SLG against lefties is .441 And I realize SLG is not always the most important factor leading off in a traditional sense. Well his OBP against righties is .289. Against lefties its .410
  6. Exactly. Unless Lee is really gassed, I don't see the reason at all. Lou probably just wanted to get Hoff a start and determined that this is the best way to get him in the lineup.
  7. Again, I don't care if Reed hit a HR against a righty yesterday, Reed sucks against righties, and if you insist on him playing every day in Soriano's absense, please do not hit him leadoff.
  8. And yet he's projected to start the All Star game. He's Ryan Theriot with Red Sox hype added
  9. Release Howry. There are like 4-5 relievers I trust over him.
  10. Eh, he'd still be available tomorrow and we basically have an off day on Monday so its fine with me. I'd rather not see him after pitching 2 innings on Thursday. This is still Kerry Wood we are talking about. Any use might be overuse.
  11. Don't place your trust in Jason Marquis. Eventually, likely sooner rather than later, he will let you down.
  12. Marmol has pitched 2 innings this week. Ove the course of a season thats 48 IP a year. So he's been pretty rested this week. Again, not ideal...i would have rather not used him, but I'm not mad at all about it.
  13. Carlos Marmol is the best player whose ever based a ball.
  14. Hasn't Marmol only pitched 1 IP total this week? I'm not opposed to this.
  15. Edmonds must be hot, he just had a solid single vs. a lefty.
  16. I think Ramirez just doesn't see the ball well from Roy.
  17. Man Rammy doesn't look like a good matchup vs. Halladay...
  18. Damn I thought that was going to be an inside the parker when it got by him.
  19. What a weird game baseball is. Yesterday the Cubs have 12 base runners and score 2, today the Cubs have 7 base runners and score 5 so far.
  20. C'mon Cubs. 80 pitches through 4. We need to get him out of the game after 6 innings.
  21. Really good to see Lee get a solid single
  22. It quite disturbs me that 4 members of the 2006 Cardinals are in the lineup today.
