Keep up this pitching pace, and I can't see Kazmir going more than 6. But I have a feeling the Cubs hitters are going to be more agressive as they try to get some solid contact off of him.
I don't like this lineup... I'm sure Lou specifically picked a lineup he thought could hit Kazmir, but I don't like seeing Murton, Blanco, Cedeno at the bottom of the order.
Hopefully he cools down because I take back what I said earlier, I can't see us scratching across anything against Kazmir. I'm just worried about getting one hit right about now!
This kid either A. Knows nothing of Cubs Nation or B. Seems to be confusing us with White Sox fans. Doesn't look good when we are referring to ourselves as "Cub Nation" either
Gosh, no. I see what you are saying, and its a very creative idea, but if this happens I would like baseball a little bit less. I hate the DH, and I would hate this even more. I like my baseball players to be complete.
What a difference a year makes in attitude around this place. In a good way. As you all know, I'm a pessimistic prick. It takes a LOT for me to make a statement like that. But I really am confident that we can generate something tonight. And if we don't we'll probably do it tomorrow. Being 20 games over .500 in June gives you that type of perspective. If the Cubs go on a 7 game losing streak, I'll probably go back to negativity, just so you know :)
We can win this if Dempster pitches well. The Cubs have defeated a lot of ace quality pitchers this year, theres no reason we can't scratch across a run or two and somehow win. It won't be easy but we can do it.
The HOF people are going to hold them hostage until they can play a game. They might have to forfeit tomorrow's game in Tampa so that they can play this one.
