  1. I love hit and runs WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
  2. Gah, he's not bad, he just needs to pitch smarter.
  3. Gahh.. that might be enough tonight. Gallagher getting hit.
  4. Gallagher starting to get hit harder the second time around the lineup
  5. I don't want the guy with the highest SLG on the team to hit 2nd. I want Cedeno starting at SS and hitting 2nd.
  6. Great, why is someone with a .218 SLG this year hitting 6th?
  7. 3 years ago today, I ate at Heaven on 7 downtown. I only remember because that is where I was when I found out about Prior getting hit.
  8. Did anyone notice the Cubs are 3 games behind their Pythagorean record (33-18)? At about a third of the way through the season, that projects to a 9 game gap. Last years DBacks were 11 games off the pace (to the negative). The Cubs should be better than their record.
  9. They probably would think of the Cards as a bigger rival since they were the 2 best NL East teams during the 80s. Actually, the rivalry could become better now as both teams (hopefully) look to be good for the next 3-4 years. Yet its hard to be a rival when you play 6 times a year and don't reside in the same time zone or division. The Mets only came to Wrigley 2 games this year. How can you be a rival of them?
  10. This nails it. The real question is how are the Indians and Tigers so terrible? The Indians seem to be a good every other year team for some reason. They were real good in 2005, then fell off the face of the earth in 2006, then came back and won the division in 2007, now are pretty bad in 2008. It's bizarre
  11. This rivalry is dieing quickly now that they arent in our division anymore. I bet the Mets don't even consider us rivals.
  12. Either that or Fuku to CF against righties, DeRosa to right, Cedeno to 2B
  13. Last Years Playoff Teams: Boston 45-36 New York 42-39 Cleveland 44-37 Los Angeles 40-41 Philadelphia 42-39 Chicago 41-40 Arizona 40-41 Colorado 39-42 So it's not a necessity to be dominant on the road, but it obviously helps.
  14. Anyone have a scouting report on Kuroda? Is he as good as his numbers? I remember reading that the Cubs were interested in him along with Fukudome, and some people didn't want him
  15. Ugly win all around but I will definitely definitely take it. No 3 game losing streak :):)
  16. Alright, time to take Soriano out for defensive purposes :)
  17. C'mon, it was a borderline pitch and Soto framed it a bit.
  18. Yay, tying run at the plate for the 3 hitter.
  19. Soto-o-meter: .299 Theriot and DeRosa are the only regulars over .300 Edit: Wait, DLee is at .300 exactly
  20. Sometimes thats easier than playing small ball
  21. If I was a Dodgers fan right now, I'd be throwing things at the TV because of this game. 13 base runners, 1 run for LA
