Trying to mostly stay out of the JJ debate because there is no way I can be impartial about evaluating him but just wanted to point out that that JJ messed up his knee at the end of the first half of the PSU game, to the point where he could barely walk the next week, almost didnt play vs Maryland and almost left the game against Maryland at halftime. The Maryland game by far was his worst statistical game of the season. I mean its not like he was terrible before they stopped passing vs Penn State (I think he was 7-8 for 60 yards or something like that). Their tackle was getting burned by Chop Robinson on almost every drop back too which certainly also played into the decision to rely on the run more.
I see several NFL traits from JJ, but can also understand why people are pushing back hard against his rise. Not a sure thing at all and probably needs 1-2 years of development but I think he can be a good NFL QB.
