The White Sox are 5-15 in September so I don’t expect any help there.
If the Cubs go 4-3 the rest of the year, 2 of these 3 things need to happen to eliminate the Cubs:
Marlins 6-2 (or 5-2 if they win today)
Reds 6-1
Diamondbacks 4-4
Well if the Brewers lose today, they will play their starters tomorrow. If they come back and win, the Cubs lead over the Marlins will increase to 2. Not quite win-win but at least somewhat helpful
